  1. ...a third one of these HDMI 2.1 for the Ravens' Nest; the first two tested out great on OLED C1 / Ampere / BigNavi
  2. ...thanks ...re. ETF, power budget is too tight, what with dev and backup servers running in addition to Ravens' Nest ...below, some TT Core P8 prep 'tube coil straightening'...hopefully, won't have to use all 70 feet of it
  3. ...great sound indeed, but I like this supercharged V16 sound the most, short of select airplane and ship engines
  4. Per above, TT Core P5 rebuild is now tested and complete...based on an earlier project, is now has a new passenger onboard in the backseat ...SOC Force mobo, EVGA 980 CL etc, for Win 7 64 backup and some 55 inch TV slogging Main Threadripper system on the front has an updated PSU, a new support mechanism for the heavy, w-cooled dual 2080 Ti, and new cooling system (3x D5s, 3x 360/60, 18x Arctic P12s. Better pics to follow once the other Ravens Nest (TT Core P8) and its 3x mobos is finished as well (getting close...)
  5. ...I like white PCBs, but you could get a can of VantaBlack carbon paint, the blackest black you can currently get
  6. 1.) Some Vinyl 'cover-up tools' for the odd Dremel slip 2.) A Cooler Master QL 140 (which cost about the same as my usual Arctic P12 pst 5-pack )...great for VRM, RAM and GPU back-plate cooling, though (top left in last pic); dramatic improvements in those respective temps
  7. Moar of this: 2x 1/2x3/4 White and 2x 1/2x3/4 Black Primochill Advanced LRT Tubing Moar of that: 8x Koolance 1/2x3/4 fittings ...coz 5 Ravens' Nest mobos have a voracious appetite
  8. ...any hint as to what you're going to put in it in terms of specific hardware ? Inquiring minds want to know
  9. ...all they have to do now is add some BFGs to both wings and I'm in
  10. The updated home-office builds, aka Ravens' Nest (5 mobos, 3 cases), is finally nearing completion... Below some extra surge-protected power bars (up to 4KW total on two circuits), plus a variety of 'this-and-that', including an extra Bitspower D5 pump top (9x D5 in the total build/s). Final assembly soon after a lot of custom fabrication; about time as furniture is piled up where my new home-office will be - my family is not happy about the mess below, but can't vacate the other areas currently in use until everything is wired up, including existing servers, network stuff etc.
  11. ...time to look at another of the Ravens' Nest component systems, the TT Core P5 Threadripper 2x 2080 Ti build from 2.5 years ago... ...it's going from a dual-loop with 5x 360/60 rads and 4x D5s to a single-loop with 2x 360/60...Fortunately, I used Koolance QDs which made disassembly easier. ...also time to do a new wiring job - the TT Core P5 has an extra cavity at the back for easy hiding of bad cable management...time to use this rebuild opportunity to do it properly...no more Molex > will be all-pwm... ...that meant more pwm extensions, splitters and two more five-fan value packs of the Arctic P12 pwm pst ...bath time for the liberated loop components !
  12. ...two more Artic P12 pwm pst 5x value packs - just because ! Also, some additional pwm extensions and splitters...
  13. Reverse Gear selected ! ...starting to pull this build apart which I had finished it about 2.5 years ago and which served me very well - even stayed on 3DM HoF for 1.5 years. The cooling system though (4x D5, 5x 360/60 rads) is now overkill for its next life as one part of 'Ravens' Nest'. While I'll keep the basic setup of mobo, CPU and GPUs, it will be a more reasonable 3x 360 rad setup with 2x D5s. The Space gained on the back is dedicated to a secondary mobo (pfSense). This system has a mix of soft tubing and solid copper tubing - not the easiest to mod after the fact, but doable as I left enough 'flex play' at critical junctions (I hope )
  14. ...nuthin' wrong with 2 V8s, especially in the sound department
  15. ...mostly networking stuff for one of the Ravens' nest setups, plus a 2nd (identical) joystick
  16. ..getting 'stufferitis' ...layout planing with two of everything is fun, but tricky, also re. wiring and tubing. Good thing I'm using a separate, mobile cooling table for all the rads and pumps. Still, a lot of custom-fab coming up...
  17. ...wishing you well, @ENTERPRISE ...after the trough comes the next rise !
