  1. The review site and forums are different platforms. So when you are on the review site, you are not logged in, as we do not have user logins on that site. That is why, to comment, you need to pop an email in. Standard for WordPress site comments. Right now there is not a bridged login for the sites, this requires custom dev work which right now has little justification to be planned as it is a really low priority. I understand that the Login/Sign Up button might be a little misleading. At the moment it is just serving as a link to the forums to encourage sign ups to the community of those who have only stumbled on the review site. There are Changes would look to undertake at a later date once I feel there is an appropriate demand for it, through user request or by traffic. Just right now there are bigger fish to fry as it were lol. I appreciate the feedback though and rest assured it is noted Thanks, E
  2. Hello all, Due to user feedback, we have now added an "Amateur Reviews" forum. What is this section for? This section gives users an opportunity to create reviews on products they they own or have owned with a view to helping others find recommended products, or products to avoid. Are there any requirements before I start writing? There are no requirements, anyone can come here and create a product review! What is a product? When we use the term product, we mean virtually anything you can own, physical or digital. So do not feel afraid to write up a review on a game or piece of software, it does not always have to be a physical product. ....................................................... We look forward to seeing your writing talent All the best, E
  3. I appreciate the support bud. You come to accept and carry on but the journey to that is long and hard. To be honest, there is no end to that journey. There are good days and bad days from a mental standpoint, its not something you "get over". A lot of the pain was the Saga leading up to and after diagnosis. Family can be..... difficult. Fortunately, not symptomatic yet. 33 and still going. During the tough days, back in my teens, I buried my head into tech and OCN. The community and helping others helped me from day to day. I was lucky to have that as a passion. I may one day do a "A Day in the life of ENTERPRISE - The Huntington years" lol, that will be a long writeup.
  4. Well I first found out about F@H when I started my journey in tech communities on OCN. It was always of interest to me and I though the project from a human value was very worthwhile, even though I was not invested in it from a personal standpoint (such as having a family member with cancer). To cut a huge saga short, that changed when I found out that there was a family history of Huntingtons Disease that runs in the family. After a long saga and much heartache, I eventually was tested after a year of mandatory counselling. Sadly I was tested positive when I was 18 (minimum age for testing due to suicide rates), meaning that at some point in my lifetime I will develop the condition. So yeah, that got me a little more invested in it. Granted my ability to fold personally is a no go at the moment, but I feel it important to make sure we have a healthy team here at EHW
  5. This is normal behaviour. You can comment on the articles, but you will find the comment box at the bottom of the article When clicking on the "Log In/Sign Up" button, if you were not signed up/logged in, it will take you to the forums registration/log in page. However as you are logged into the forum site, it will take you to the homepage.
  6. I am sad to say that while we made contacted with TechTarget and started talking about the possibility of acquisition, communication was halted after I asked for metrics in order to come to an evaluation. It seemed they no longer wanted and what they had to say, and I quote...... Which is a funny concept, as if I thought it was a waste of time, why would I make contact ? This is your typical email which just tells me they do not want to state specifically why they are backing out, but want to make sure I feel good as they were not "Wasting my time", placating at its best. So anyway, I let them know that we were disappointed that they were (to my current knowledge) just allowing the NBR community and all its knowledge fall into a black hole. I know that some of the information was scraped from users on reddit I believe and arguably you can use Waybackmachine to check archives, but not exactly the same. Sorry guys, was hoping for a more positive outcome.
  7. Source Sigh, knew that would be coming. Not a fab of being forced to use an MS account or having to have an internet connection for something as simple as setup. Is it me or is MS copying lots of Apple type moves.
  8. Hmmm. This is sad and a really odd move. As already stated, there is no successor mentioned ? I highly doubt they are moving out of the DRAM market, unless all of a sudden they are moving all focus to NAND only.
  9. Fixed. Well we are certainly glad that you were the dev...I mean angel in everyone's ears bud.
  10. A great read ! Thanks for sharing. As for an amateur review section on the site. I have no issue with that, sounds like its something that could work out.
  11. You can see the site guide on how to embed Google properties

  14. This certainly gave me some giggles. Those certainly look like some workin hands lol. As per @Avacado mention, if you are ever interested in product reviews, feel free to reach out
  15. Hey guys, A quick question for anyone who may have had experience setting up a customer portal. Does anyone have any recommendations on a service that could be used to allow clients to login into their own area with access to various resources provided to them ? For example, looking to have a customer portal for clients to log in to and they could do the following for example. * View Machines Owned * View Manuals * Request Spares * Request Remote Support Thanks in advance
  16. Its a game that has been tough to win, with the shortages and scalping. I for one am sitting it out for a good while as no need for an upgrade right now. Though im still rooting for AMD to keep kicking ass with the 7000 series. Keep Intel honest haha.
