    Touche.

This is off topic though, the weather is getting better here which might mean I can post some photos of me rockin' EHW shirts next time I post in this thread.

  2. Thanks for sharing, guys. I knew most of speed_demon's issues from a Discord DM. Hope things get better for you soon.

Jan, thank you for the story and effing ouch! You're tough to survive that. What kind of issues does not having a spleen cause? I am also disheartened to hear you had a hospital stay recently, but if you'd rather not share I can understand why.

Me well, last year Sept. 8th I had surgery on my left hip to repair a torn labrum and hip cam and pincer impingement. It's helped significantly though I am still recovering so have some bad pain in it sometimes for a few days at a time. I did 4 months physical therapy twice a week as well (which more often than not set off the pain and made things worse). Long story short - I had physical therapy, I got an MRI and a CAT scan of my right hip and am due to have all the same surgeries on April 4th on my right hip. Followed by 5 months physical therapy. The left was done so now I'm set to do the right. Then we'll have to see about doing something for my neck pain, ECT wrecked my neck.

  3. I still play a very old psuedo MMO called Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. It's essentially a PC port of a Dreamcast game with a lot of added content. It's futuristic, 3rd person dungeon treks. You get lightsabers, light daggers, a ton of guns if you're a Ranger, etc. Pretty much a futuristic Diablo. the max level is 200 and I think my Hunter is 182 and my Ranger is 186. It's a pretty legendary game, being the first online game of its type on a console, and one with a 56k modem but the netcode was so good that the game didn't ever lag, constantly ran at 30fps, and you could kill waves of monsters with character positions and animation and damage showing etc. on a 56k connection.

I'll post some photos of it maybe. I was playing this game a ton before I got addicted to Ragnarok Online, Lineage 2, and WoW.

    • Thanks 1
  4. Yeah I will have only be wearing mine every so often too.

As far as the shipping goes, I actually got both my t shirts in like a week. I thought it would be like 2-3 weeks which is what my mug took, but the shirts showed up pretty quick. Maybe I'm near the supplier. Who knows.

  5. Yeah I have not washed mine yet. We're lazy so we usually don't sort our laundry and do it the right way by separating whites from colors 🤣

I'm a little wary of washing these shirts and especially together (I got the plain white one with the simple logo, and the gray and red folding@home) because I'm afraid of making the white shirt all red if the ink leaks off the folding shirt. Any issues with color bleed when you washed them, Enterprise?

  6. Warning: long post and massive image dump incoming

Here's my detailed documentation of building and modding the Royal Kludge RK100. My comments will be below each image.

    Parts used:

    Royal Kludge RK100

    XVX retro PBT keycaps

    ThreeBulls blue O-Rings

    Kailh Pro Light Green switches

So this is what we're starting with. The RK100 in the Classic color scheme with ABS keycaps and RK blue switches (yes they make their own switches and you can get them on AliExpress)

Sorry this one is sideways. I can't find it in my phone to fix it. Anyway, taking keycaps off and yeet them into a bag.

    Keycaps all pulled.

The new keycaps. I am used to buying sets that cost twice as much and are PBT with dye sub characters or whatever. Those usually come in trays, already pre sorted to put on. So these will have to be sorted.

Here's the board. We could just put our new switches and keycaps on, but no, this is EHW so we won't just do that. We want to clip and lube stabilizers, and we're going to crack it open and check the inside out. 😊

    PXL_20240301_211920398.thumb.jpg.2f76ef63fd74315722b7243f0f7b640f.jpg

The stabilizer for Enter. I was able to just pull them off the top plate very easily and didn't need to remove screws or detach the PCB. Turns out, it's already lubed and it's not like a Cherry stab so there's no prongs to clip. These really should be replaced by Cherry stabs. Maybe in the future.

The board opened up. Look at this one layer of chintzy, cheap, thin foam. That won't do much to dampen noise or add weight.

Underneath the foam. Battery and pcb for the USB ports. I use it wired so if the battery fails, no problem for me (though I'll have to remove it and replace it with a weight).

Thin crafter's foam used for art. We used the existing foam as a template and drew areas to be cut out with a razor.

    It works and fits! Hurrah!

I put the black foam over the crafter's foam.

Starting to populate the board with switches. Also, I had to press down *really* hard on the top plate because of the added foam to get the screws back into it.

Done. Even though they call them Pro Light Green they're a forest green. *Shrug*

Sorry, didn't get any intermediate shots. Keycaps and o-rings on. My fiancee helped here with organizing the keycaps and putting them on. Big thanks as it made getting the keycaps and o-rings on go much faster.

    PXL_20240301_234628261.thumb.jpg.a48c131a5bad7ddb1d5a308bc8d16b92.jpg

    Done.

As for my thoughts on it: it was a fun project. However, I am unhappy with the board, particularly the switches. I suppose the light green doesn't mean a color, the light part may actually refer to the sound of the switch. They feel nice to type on but are pretty quiet compared to all the box clicky switches. I think these would be good if you wanted to use clicky switches in an office or something. These feel pretty good and have good spring tension, they actuate at 45g. However the click bar must be super thin.

The keycaps and look though, I love it. Definitely keeping the rest of the keycaps and if I want to I can make it more green in the future.

Overall not bad for $126. Maybe in the future I'll change the switches to Box Heavy Pale Blue.

    Finally, a demonstration video.

I hope you enjoyed my post and documentation of building this board. Thanks for reading.

  7. That was me. The 4oz option is 100% polyester. The 6oz option is ?. Flux's tee is one that was available sometime last year but got removed because the printing quality didn't live up to Enterprises standards.

As far as the 6oz option it might be a cotton/polyester blend.

@ENTERPRISE should really add this information to the description of the shirts so people know what they're getting. Perhaps he can clarify what the 6oz option is before you buy one.

I'm not a fan of that material for shirts personally.

So, it turns out when you order there is a drop down box allowing you to pick what weight shirt you want. The choices are 4oz (what I got that's thin) and 6oz (which should be more like a Gildan or Fruit of the Loom tee).

Just thought I'd give you a heads-up if you didn't already know that you can probably order a shirt and make sure it's 6oz and it should be like a normal tee.

Ah thanks for the edit. I just went ham with everything. I noticed you have quantities listed and even types like fat / slim. I need to check my 360 count because it is intense.

I should have 3 regular white 360s. One of which is the launch edition the silver disk drive, one Arcade version, one standard retail one sent by MS (RMA) and I have the silver, Halo Reach slim limited edition. So a total of 4 360s today lol and I RRoD at least 3 360. I feel I fast tracked Bill Gates’ retirement XD

Teal Gameboy Color. Ice Blue N64. Glacier GBA. Black Gamecube. White Wii. Silver / standard DS. Black DS Lite. Cosmo black 3DS. European SNES Classic.

I also have a teal GBC. Most of my handhelds were plain black ones, my GBA SP silver was scratched to hell, so I put decals from decalgirl.com that my wife found on most of them.

I had a photo of all my handhelds but can't find it on my phone. If you're interested in seeing them with the skins let me know and I'll haul them out and take photos.

  10. Yeah checking this out too but since I'm doing a custom build soon, if I do decide I want one I'll have to wait a few months then ask 🤣

    Thanks.

EDIT: sticker shock. Yeah for those prices I'd rather get a Realforce. Still pretty neat though.
