What games are you playing now?

Recommended Posts

Just a thread to talk about games. What are you playing now and what do you like about it?

I've been playing dragon ball z kakarot. Not the type of game I usually play but it was on sale and as someone who watches the show as a kid it looked like a cool nostalgia trip and now I'm totally hooked to it, the combat is really fun.

Also Dyson sphere program is a cool new factory game in which you travel the stars to build a Dyson sphere, it's very cool but takes a really long time.

7 Days to Die - Had been playing on a server for the first time since Alpha 15 (2016). Server is dying a bit though as Alpha 20 is likely to drop soon which means wipe.

Dying Light - Hack n slash zombies. Sometimes just in the mood for that.

I agree that Dyson Sphere game looks interesting.

Valheim! My Wife and I have been together for 13 years. We used to play Wii like 10 years ago, but then there was nothing until an ocn buddy bought me Valheim. She got hooked, and we play it together after the kids go to bed.

It's really easy to just chill and do things on it. I can see why it's so popular. I was always more into things like Racing, Sports.

I think it would be cool if we had some sort of server here for it.

I figure my gf and I will eventually get into Valheim, it does look really fun but were holding off because we've played a lot of other similar survival/base building games together and we're a little burned out on it right now but as soon as we're not, that's on the top of our list. I agree an EHW server would be really cool, I think there is already a minecraft server.

Cussing Bungie for deleting content from their game I paid for to make room for their new content/upgrade(and people say Microsoft forces people to upgrade?? lol)

ALSO playing Dying Light, game STILL adds new content/community events 6 years after release.?

Plague Inc: Evolved, lol the wife gets annoyed over this 1 because I name every thing after her and tell her how deadly she is. ?

Yeah Steam had a sale earlier this week so I managed to get the DLC for Dying Light. Its a fun game, I really enjoy it.

Plague Inc. I play in spurts. Couldn't figure out the new Cure mode at all.

Only MMORPG's for me.  Been a 3 years long drought of AAA titles, but I keep myself busy with Aion.  Been playing since beta in 2009.  Graphics are a little antiquated, but the fast paced hardcore PvP is still some of the best around.

I just started Black Desert Online a few weeks ago.  Like the combat, fluid and intuitive, but won't necessarily be looking forward to the grind.

Also been playing Lost Ark on the Russia client.  Amazon Games has US/EU publishing rights and are supposed to release it sometime this year.  Amazing combat and graphics, a very addicting game.  But the isometric fixed camera angle almost kills it for me.

Looking forward to Elyon this year and hopefully Ashes of Creation in 2022 or 2023

  • 4 weeks later...

Been getting back into iRacing after a drought of races between the Daytona 24 and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Hard to find time, but it's worth it when I can get a race in.

When I don't want to commit to setting myself up at my sim rig, I've been fooling around in Wreckfest and BeamNG quite a bit recently. I think a few folks here would enjoy those.

I've tried Valheim and a few of my friends are pretty hooked on it, but it just doesn't work for me. I can't really say why. Maybe it's the art style? Maybe I'm just burnt out on survival games like that, and I just want to keep it simple and keep playing Minecraft? No idea, but every time I open it I poke at something for five minutes and then want to go do something else.

However, I have been doing a decent amount of a different coop game that I'm almost surprised nobody else has mentioned: Deep Rock Galactic. Coop, not too difficult, satisfying progression, and the game doesn't take itself too seriously so I think it's enjoyable to a wide audience. Immensely well received on Steam.

Valheim look interesting to me but I think it appeals a lot more to anyone who hasn't already played a ton of minecraft because they're very similar style games. For me, I see Valheim and I think to myself "I don't think I'm ready to play minecraft again right now".

I use to play a TON of DRG. We should play sometime, haven't played that in ages.

lol, one of these days,I'm gonna have to install some of these free games I've gotten from EPIC.Meanwhile most are just sitting in the library waiting for me to download. Screen shots show my library.... I don't think I paid for more than 1 game on epic, and that was to complete a series I had elsewhere and it was cheaper on epic than anywhere else.

Rocket league, Civ VI, farming simulator 19, elite dangerous and Cities Skylines are some of my favorites from that list.

Decided to play some Subnautica again. Life's been stressful lately and it helps me relax as does Cities Skylines.

Still playing some Dying Light too as I just need to mindlessly slaughter zombies sometimes. :D

It's linear, but I enjoyed Alan Wake you have on that list schuck. Can also +1 for Civ VI and Cities Skylines.

I really should replay Diablo with the DevilutionX re-implementation before D2R launch.

Which MW?  COD4?  I'll hop on and play that one every once in a while when there's other players.

7 Days to Die. Trying to actually finish my castle on this server I play on before Alpha 20 releases probably by the end of the year and the server wipes. Been having some structural integrity issues with my big Keep, so had to do a bit of a teardown and a rebuild on parts of it.

Modded Minecraft. Messing with shaders and some maps/scenarios.
