Gran Turismo is literally the only race series that has the non-CR AP2 S2000, so it might be in there.

I really like their approach for ray tracing. It seems like the reflections are low res enough to allow the game to run at 60fps while still getting the job done nicely. I can see a little aliasing here and there but I'm sure in motion that won't be noticeable.

There was a recent leak from nVidia that listed Gran Turismo 7 as one of the playable games on GeForce Now. So I do think Gran Turismo 7 on PC could happen. If it does, I do hope it supports VR on PC. Once you try a racing game in VR, it's very difficult to go back to using a screen.

In a recent interview, the develop confirmed that all GT Sport content is going to make it's way over to Gran Turismo 7, so that's 337+ cars.

Crumbs, that's a few vehicles to select from. Gran Turismo on PC so far as the eye candy turned up to max could look so nice !

I prefer it that way, GT5 and GT6 they went for quantity over quality, imported all of the cars from Gran Turismo 4 from the PS2 and they got a lot of criticism for it You ended up with really good car models going up against things like this

image.png.c98b4347080c9a1d3190ca1190fa9717.png

This is the improved model by the way. It was much worse than this. For context, this is what the high quality cars looked like

image.png.81e2bae4146ff6512b5e0a1ee940ee14.png

With Gran Turismo Sport, they just scrapped everything and started again from scratch, GT7 is going to import all of the cars from GT Sport which I'm fine with. They're very high quality as seen here:

Well, nVidia now has Gran Turismo 7 listed in upcoming games. There was also a leaked Sony internal document that said Uncharted 4 and "a racing title" is coming to PC as well. A couple of months later, Sony announced that Uncharted 4 is coming to PC. There's still a chance that GT7 is going to be released on PC as well.

Apparently this game won't actually feature ray tracing outside of photo mode and replays. Seems odd given how they've presented the game so far.

So no actual in game ray tracing ? Odd to keep it to only other aspects to the game.

I heard them talking about it in a digital foundry podcast video. They said the one of the devs was interviewed about it in a Japanese magazine and that's where this info is coming from. It seemed credible. Apparently GT games typically have enhanced graphics in the replay mode but given how front and center the ray tracing has been in some of the trailers thus far, it definitely seems odd that they would highlight it so much if it's not in the gameplay. It's also kind of strange because the RT looked pretty low res, like it was heavily optimized for performance more so than really crisp reflections so it seems strange that the RT is so cut down if it's not in the gameplay.

Yeah, that's always been the case. Gran Turismo has always been 60fps in gameplay, 30fps in replay mode, photo mode and in the showroom.

Can I be the guy to say if it was on PC, or destined for PC from the start it could have been better visually ? Do not get me wrong, it looks fantastic as is, but I assume the cut down RT is really down to console capabilities at this point.

GT7 is meant to go back to what GT4 was as far as gameplay goes, so there definitely will be some single player. One of the biggest criticisms of GT Sport was the lack of single player gameplay. Polyphony are listening to the players because they did bring in a bunch of single player content to GT Sport via updates.

BF games have mostly been just multiplayer though so bf2042 being mp only is more of a return to standard form than some kind of deviation.

The level of detail of the new cars compared to what they were in the one I know the best (GT4) is astounding. I really can't wait to try this game out.

I have noticed one thing with the GT7 boxes that they keep showing. There's no "only on Playstation" tag on them any more like they had for GT5, GT6 and GT Sport. There was that leak from Sony a while ago that said Uncharted 4 and God of War is going to come to PC along with "a racing game" so many GT7 will come to PC and we don't have to buy a PS4/PS5. Sony really has seen the success of Microsoft bringing all of their exclusives to PC and it seems like they want some.
