Starting a build log here for the evolution of my sig rig Ocean Blue. The NZXT H210i, though a nice case, does not provide adequite radiator space for my build, thus resulting in ~70C ish CPU load temps while gaming or running multiple VMs

 

So far its been parts collection to move into the new case, and yes i know O11 dynamic in itself is becoming a meme case, but i couldnt resist a dynamic mini snow edition.

you cant afford it! we talked about this!

i'm in a debate with myself on tubing size again. stay 1/2 OD or go 5/8 OD, one requires the purchase of fittings the other doesnt (unless i decide to go white fittings which would fit the build)

We talked about sizes. The choice to go large tubing and thus spending money is purely aesthetic and impacts flow/temp in no meaningful way. If your fan box was any larger I would send you a few 16mm fittings and tubing to play with the size difference.

You should watercool your ETF GPU so you can lay the smackdown on all of the other 580's. Right @firedfly

i know its for looks and not performance, but in the case of this build i want the looks to matter as much as the function, my H210i is a butchered mess because i was experimenting.

 

the only reason i debate 5/8OD tubing so much, is white fittings to go with the theme, and as you've said before, the possibility of the tubing size looking better in the case

Let's see....you were replying to @pioneerisloud.  He's on my ETF team.  water cooling == moar PoINTS.  Yes.  @pioneerisloud should water cool!

Nahhh, I'll water cool when I have a nice rig.  None of mine are nice enough.

This Project has met a delay due to lack of funds, it may be a while before its completed.

 

Fittings Cost IS a major pain for hardline, especially when i need white ones.

I may be in the minority, but I prefer the look of soft tubing, and I believe your routing of the lines is aesthetically superb!

Looks really good Sarge, it's like everything is frozen in there!

And I agree with @ArchStanton, I prefer soft tubing over hardtubing most of the times. Only copper tubing might change my mind...
