FYI, for those with AMD CPUs, install the amd chipset driver and power plan for a few extra points of performance. Not sure if it works the same with threadripper.

A race towards last place you say? Bet you'll have trouble with this one (unless you get one of those old Athlons to boot W7/W10) 😁

4c/4t Intel Atom (Baytrail) z3735F ~1.58GHz, a solid single thread score of 29.3 and unbelievable multi thread score of 116.3.

This is a tablet with the charger disconnected for extra low power. As horrible as this tablet is, I used to actually play League of Legends in between and perhaps during classes while in college 😀

This just reminded me that I have a couple laptops I can try. One has a Bulldozer era APU and the other an Intel Core M of some sort. Now I am curious. 😄

How are temps on the 5800X @Bastiaan_NL? Always heard these ran hotter than even the 5900X since its just the one CCX of 8 cores so its not spread out like the 5900X at 2x6.

Is that an octopus in there? Love it!

Yes that cooling system was roughly based on this engine design, just for fun, but it also performs pretty well in it's present form (I've gone 5822Mhz validations with my 9600KF with this system w/ chiller attached)

It's been around 65°C using a 240 aio with everything I did besides p95 small fft's, that was over 75°C 😂

Sounds fine to me. Will be curious to see how that 5800X3D pans out. Or if they do a 5900X3D.

Thinking I'll swap out my 5600X when one of those goes on sale at Micro Center. But also don't want too hot a chip, so curious how the layered cache will affect things.

What can be worst than last place on the slo mo leaderboard?

I probably shouldnt post this because it actually is somewhat a decent processor still. However, I have throttlestop to slow it down lots more if needed 😉

Just watch the transformation, I know exactly what I'm doing 😆

SLO MO leaderboard is up! You can also go back to the original post to get the latest leaderboard revisions as well....

If you see any errors here let me know but I think I got all the slow systems after scanning through each page of the competition.

Well then.......lots of updates in here since I last looked.  That 4790k is beating my Ryzen 3600.    (Well, for single core that is).  That's VERY impressive, just wow!

Whoever has that P4, I'm coming for you.  The rest of the stuff needed for my old rigs arrives Tuesday.  I have an Athlon x2 4200+ 939 I can run right now, but meh.  The P4 is still going to beat me since I'm overclocking these.  I'm not going to "cheat" and underclock, I'm just going to find something actually slower. 😛  I will have last place / slowest rig by end of the week.

Install the chipset/power managment driver fornthe 3600, might give you the edge.

Already installed.  My Ryzen 3600 rig IS on an install that's well over a year old though.  A clean install would probably help my Ryzen rig if anything....but meh.  I'm not going to win anything there lol.

@Storm-Chaser, I know this is going to put me out of last place in the "fast" rigs section, but I'd move that FX 4350 up with the "fast" rigs.  I know its not actually fast, but FX rigs are still completely usable today.  And 4c / 4t is still enough to play games with today.  A little struggle sure, but still fine.  Unless you want the "slow" rig section to include the FX's, then in that case I guess move my 8 core down there?  Just kind of depends on how you're wanting the split to be.  If I didn't upgrade to Ryzen last year, I'd still be on an FX or i7 2600 today.  My opinion, they're still "modern" enough to use.  Phenom II on the other hand is missing instruction sets for some things.  FX, not so much still.

I was on the fence about that but makes perfect sense now to move them both to the fast leaderboard. And I'm with you on the gaming thing, 8 cores for gaming is still way overkill, just to add my 2C.

My hexacore Phenom II 970 (oem processor, rare) X6 rig acted as my primary rig until 2016. Very snappy platform with low latency if you have the memory dialed in correctly. And IMC to 3121MHz 😁

Here is a proper run not with WINE or on a VM.

Since I was already rebooting to run Windows, I gave the 3960X a little more juice. 🙂

4550MHz all-core OC.  Memory is pretty average running 8x 16GB of  ECC UDIMMs at 3200, but I'm not sure if the CPU-Z bench even cares about memory.
