I'm still new to this. Is it like, the more submissions the better? Or is it the best score in each category is what gets counted? 

 

Basically, I'm asking if I do some submissions and someone else has a higher score in those categories, does mine still count?

Each round has a submission count (3-5) subs from different members. Having 3 stock subs in a round that requires 3 would beat 1 XOC sub that has a higher score. The priority is to reach the submission count for each category. Past that, if there are more people submitting for a cat, the best scores stay and the lowest ones drop off. It is important though, because they would come back if a higher score was disqualified for any reason.

 

It is possible that you may do a bench and it not count towards points for the team if others have submitted higher scores, but that is not really why EHW is participating. We are a team and we exclude NO ONE who is a member and wants to participate. We want people to come together, have fun and play with tech in a way they might not have before.

Yea even if the only hardware you have is covered by someone else, I'd still run it. Because subs WILL get thrown out. I think the unofficial HWBOT motto is "if you can't beat them, report them".

We wanted to put our name on the map early for advertisement purposes. It won't stay there for long as a lot of these guys are subbing XOC results that blow our scores out of the water. Still, it feels nice to get a jump on the competition. Most of the teams in the top 3 have over 50 active members on HWbot, we are doing it with 8

That is very true, well being the top of the leader board at some point is better than never being there ! To be honest I would like to see how long we can keep the number 1 spot.

good going, but DAMN! i didnt know i only could do 3 submissions for the Ryzen Cezanne 3dmark Vantage competition, pretty stupid because my first entry wasnt even a valid score. Will fire up my 7700X and the other categories i have hardware from

Are you sure you can't do more than 3 submissions? If not I would suggest asking the mods to delete the previous submissions. 
Also, if you are going to mess with the 7700x I can leave mine alone to save me some time. There are enough setbacks already with the other hardware causing a lot of extra work

The maximum CPU frequency is updated on both the AM5 benchmarks:

The new max is now 5008mhz instead of 5005mhz. There were issues with clock drift causing many invalid subs.

Not sure I can do AM5 with my 7900X3D as I have no way to manually overclock it to 5008MHz. There is no clock ratio control for the X3D chips. All you have to work with is PBO. Currently it will probably run around 5150MHz but I think y-cruncher uses all cores so it will run around 5000-4800 depending on core. Also, I have no way to show it being at 5008MHz in CPU-Z because even on high performance power plan it'll idle down to like 3GHz..

 

For AM4, we can only use 4 processor cores which should be no problem to set up, but is HyperThreading allowed?

I offered to use my 5900X, but it appears it needs to be literal 4-core chips.

Guess I'm out then, atm wife would hate working on computers and replacing the chip and remounting her h100i, then doing the same to put the 5900x back in. Not doing all that for one benchmark. If it were several it'd be different.
