How do you all Clean up windows?

I'm at that point where my windows drive has way too much stuff in it.  Tons of empty folders or files that were just left over from an uninstall.  How do you guys generally clean up aside from just nuking the install and starting fresh.

If you use OneDrive and a Microsoft login account with windows, reformatting the C drive is pretty painless. You can just wipe it, reinstall, and sign in again. Pretty similar to resetting your phone and the signing back in with the same Google or Apple account.

+1 on TreeSize

But in general I try to be vigilant and not install * on my main PC, and if I uninstall something, I check to make sure the folders etc are removed.

Also windows cleanup can free up a lot of space. That said on any OS re-install its always 100% clean and then re-adding necessary applications.

Revo Uninstaller, it removes stuff that the built in uninstaller and Windows' "Add & Remove Programs" misses.

ooooooooor spend some time to figure out how to streamline your reinstalls and do a reinstall 🙃

I can wipe my drive and be back to a clean OS with all my tweaks and programs in 30-40 minutes. a couple of batch/registry files + Chocolatey/winget + moving the Documents folder to another drive/partition = ezpz.
