Well, it's been a while since I gave an update, but I thought I'd go ahead and let you know how things are going with my family. I lost my Mother this past Sunday, and her funeral is today.

 

My Brother-in-law is near the end of his stage 4 battle with cancer. No more chemo can be done, and his underlying conditions do not make him a good fit for new treatments. He is likely going to hospice soon.

 

My Step-Mother is doing a bit better after discovering 3 heart blockages she had emergency heart surgery to fix, but she's still losing her memory.

 

So, not a very good time lately, but I am doing good. I am handling it ok. We're blessed. I appreciate all of your support. I hope the forum lives on.

It is on LARs now with a lower PPD (which is common in my experience with my 3080ti's).

I've joined the team and hopefully my points from OCN will carry over. (144m). I have folding set up in Linux, GPU only. Anyone folding on Linux? I'm on Mint but I don't see the Flatpak app GreenWithEnvy available when I search in Software Manager. I need that to OC the card. It's doing pretty well and hovering around 55C with 80% fan.

No, your point's do not carry over from team to team, you start at 0 just like we all had to! There are plenty on here folding on linux based platforms that could offer some help if needed.

I got it figured out and the flatpak application GreenWithEnvy works. Curiously, I am actually able to increase my power limit to 480w which I can't do at all in Windows for benching. Anyway, I thought you guys would wanna see this ppd:

Haha you'll have more points than me all year in like 3 days.

 

Now that's a great winter folding overclock for heating the home, but I am much more curious at what kind of PPD that card can put out in a "summer folding mode" at like 100-150w. So if you have the time to create a couple profiles, I'd love to see just how efficient it can be with some undervolting and clock restraint. I tuned my 6900XT to fold at about 125w for this hell hole Alabama weather and it does pretty good PPD at 800mV.

No option to control voltage at all in Linux. Take a look. Had to remember to blur my ip address

Yes, QRB is still a thing and it does take a few WU's to collect. Passkeys issued are good for life, so just find the email.

Generally around 31m PPD with the core hovering around 2885MHz. This card CAN do 3090MHz fine with Windows and benching, however in Linux using GreenWithEnvy I've noticed if I put the core higher than 2900MHz then GWE will show the speed dropping to 2000MHz for a couple seconds then going back up while folding. It might be because I can't control the voltage. It holds 2880MHz stable and continuously though.

 

TL;DR 31m ppd at 2880/12220MHz (my memory overclocks really well. Stock mem is 10500).
