Went thrifting again today. -_-  I should've taken pictures, but I've already got everything put up.

Scored the following:
Sony IFC-CD815 Dream Machine CD / Radio / AUX multi alarm clock radio $21.99

Some vintage looking alarm clock (beeper only) $3.99 (for kiddo)

2 unopened packages of DVD-R's (50 and 30 packs) $4.99 ea

Logitech K400r Touchpad / Wireless keyboard $4.99

And a surge protector and extension cord because why not for $1.99 ea

Kind of overspent a LITTLE bit on the nicer alarm clock, but looking at ebay, seems the pricing was pretty fair anyway. 🙂

Also bought on ebay (also today):
AMD Phenom II x4 965BE $19.99 free ship

20g tube of MX-4 $20.50 I think it was

.....for the hwbot comp. 🙂

Generic naked green SK Hynix DDR5-4800 modules with no XMP profiles for $80 each on eBay brand new that overclock as good, or better, than fancy schmancy name-brand modules that sell for twice as much.

Simpson gauges arrived... (for my Atlas II build).

Also, some old analog tech showed up for my "wall of fame." The "portable" gauge set was accompanied by a Montana Power blank work order with a set of "cal" data on its rear dated 1945. Found it hidden in the bottom of the case. The gauge set itself dates from 1917 and weighs about as much as the cast iron New England Butt Co. plate:

Tried sitting on the butt plate, but it really didn't do anything for my derrière.

Cancelled this because I'm not waiting until the end of the month. Bought one in store instead and got it today. It also turns out that the requirements for working in an Apple Store isn't very high because it has the wrong strap. It's supposed be be like the bottom one.

after 30+ years working with an old Radio Shack 30w soldering iron, I got tired of waiting and struggling just to get some solder on a wire.... so I bought this butane soldering iron.  I do not solder much, but when I do, I want it to be quick... its first job was to put a new pigtail on my old trucks air conditioning fan... worked flawlessly, even used it to shrink the heat shrink thanks to all that hot exhaust that comes out a conveniently small port.

I've been eying a Hakko for years but I just don't solder often enough to justify it... So I'm still sticking with my old Radio Shack soldering station. It's slow but it's adjustable and still works.

Been wanting to redo the WIFI network at the house for a while. Was going to build out something cool but decided to just go with a Ubiquiti setup so it would be easier for my roommate to manage if needed. Plus this is a nice scalable solution for adding cameras and access control down the road. Already have one Unifi AC AP so we'll have a total of 3 to start and go from there. House is 3 story a little over 2k square ft so networking is a real blast.
