if i could have gotten another 100~150$ could had gotten a 3060, but all thing considered ill take it. though looking at redux stat sheet its likely a 1660 super due to the cuda core and max boost

I had the same thing with NoiseBlocker and Scythe S-flex fans.. And now I have 16 Corsair ML140 fans, my new favorite! I'm sad they don't make a ML200 fans, I would have picked up 6 of them for the new project :classic_tongue:

My Schiit Jotunheim's DAC died and got a replacement! I'm surprised I can hear a difference given both are pretty high-end DAC/Amps - but the DX7 Pro is definitely cleaner/more transparent. Also the solid aluminum case feels really nice.

I want, on hand, a rig from each generation from AMD / ATI.  Down to K6, and up to Ryzen.  I'm slowly getting there, Thuban and FX are going to be expensive still right now, and the K6 gear is expensive.  The rest is actually pretty cheap.  I'd go Intel / Nvidia too but then things get too crazy.

Pretty cool to have all that hardware working!
The only old AMD/ATI hardware I still have is an HD4650 and an Athlon 64 x2, no clue if they are still working..

Broke 3 Caps on my 1080ti, so I had to buy a new GPU. I guess I was lucky I found a 6900XT at what ASRock lists as MSRP, on the plus side my wife didn't notice the extra cost of a new Silicon Power 1TB NVME drive ;)

This is the ASRock Phantom Gaming 16GB, it is freaking huge, barely squeezing into my Cooler Master HAF-XB, Dust filters unfortunately removed for airflow.6900XT.thumb.jpg.8efc2cb88951cf7dc778b93fbed15490.jpg

Sorry about the busted caps. Good news on the new card! Loss and a win.

The ac lamp test diode module that i'll be using with my take on rgb showed up today:

diode-module.thumb.jpg.8d5eee8ac169a46003462ff37ca6b598.jpg

The lamp colors are green (nominal), yellow (caution), red (warning), and blue (test), which will indicate whether temps have exceeded certain parameters (gpu/cpu temps; i'm pretty sure i can make that switchable). The lamps will be controlled by an arduino fed signals from the testbench/aquero6xt, and coupled to a relay module which will perform the actual switching of the AC voltage,

I might also add a uva bulb to the side which would give me five total, or gyrbu (e.g., rugby; a Pook™ suggestion).
