^^^well here's a blast from the past:

Posted it over on the other site; figured I'd post it here too.

Not quite a Kill-A-Watt meter, but it predates even me and will be used in my project. It's a completely restored 1926 Westinghouse OB electric meter that actually works. Not here yet, but should be before the holiday next week:

killawhatmeter1.thumb.jpg.3ef5fd403bc92a665f330d49d960396c.jpg

Comes with new copper seals as well.

Good, cause one of my 2TB drives went ti.... Belly up. I suddenly found myself with a 500GB nVME and a single 2TB drive. Need moar.

The old drive was an ST2000DM001. Junk. Decent spec though, 7200rpm, 64mb cache.

Looking forward to 256mb cache! Wish I could afford a couple 2TB nVME drives, gen 4. 5000Mbps+ ???

My brother ordered a 5950x too, just to mess with me and my 3950x :classic_laugh:
I have to build the system for him, so I'll try to swap the cpu's without him knowing.. :devil:

Haha ! Sneaky...of course as a member of the PCMR I cannot support this :p

Upgraded the system today with the 5950X which is harder when I have to remove the entire mobo to do it due to the full coverage WC block lol.

ESP LTD EC-10

Black Friday Sale only $162 shipped.  It's crazy!  It's so nice.  Sure it's probably built by Chinese slave labor...but they did a hell of a job.

I was tired of having a floyd rose tremolo...it's just a pain in the ass and I suck anyway, plus after seeing that original Ibanez RG550's are selling for more than what they originally cost new, I don't want to mess mine up..so hopefully I can sell it.

This EC-10 is perfect for playing Rocksmith.

@Andrew Which one?

@axipher What's that for? :classic_tongue:

I ordered a new PSU for the main system, so the one that's in there can go in the second system replacing the 10 year old HX850w PSU. I don't like having that PSU running 24/7 anymore..
And I also ordered an ADATA 1TB XPG Gammix S70 M.2 SSD. I don't need it at all but that's what you get if you have a few days off... It's rated at double the read and write compared to my Gigabyte Aorus PCIe SSD, let's see if that's true. The M.2 will be the main drive and the PCIe will be the second drive, gives me a bit of room for the stupid large games.

This little kit: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B085HB3781

Using it to add some temperature and humidity monitoring to my server rack.  It's working great so far, so might pick up a few more to monitor each room in the house and maybe tie them in to some solenoids and relays to control some dampers and fans via some insulated ducts through the attic to get some better air movement around the house.  We have no central air and just electric baseboard heat and ceiling fans.
