15% off coupon for Walmart.com if you have a Wells Fargo CC and/or checkings account:

After the coupon it ended up being the cheapest to any other comparable battery by about ~$50.

Basically what I have now. An Interstate battery from Costco. But I think they reduced their warranty on it, so not as nice a deal as it was back then.

Yeah that was the issue I ran into last week. It was -24F with wind chill and car was like nope, meanwhile everyone else in the complex seemed to be able to start their cars. So thinking mine is just too old at this point.

...Teamgroup DDR5 8200 delivery posted earlier was borked by Amazon....might be a good thing because someone else had a similar Teamgroup DDR5 delivery from Amazon with the sticks loose in a single clear plastic bag (one stick DOA). I instead ordered the one below from another retailer...

So I was in the market for a smaller set of studio monitors for my bedroom. Currently using an old tired set of Behringer Truth B2031A just because we had them laying around. They are a little too big for the space and having unshielded internals, they occasionally pick up AM radio lol.  So I was thinking about getting a set of Yamaha HS5's...

And yet I ended up buying a pair of Adam Audio T7V's ðŸ˜‚

I might run these in the office and move my JBL 306P MkII upstairs

Noticed eBay motors had a 10% off coupon. Picked up a new set of IRS braces and a lightly used track handling suspension kit for half of what just the track kit goes for new.

Ooooooh I finally have something to post:

20240318_141640362.thumb.jpg.ab74b850ba86ff0385bbb0ff2fd16c15.jpg

I don't know if I'm going to kick myself in two years having gone with this over the 7900XTX, but because it was same price point ($999 msrp, man am I a dunce), I figured the RT and otehr features (productivity etc, encoding) was worth it now.  Plus I couldn't find an available 4090 at the $1500 mark so.... pretty impressed with this going from a 6800XT that was massively clocked.

Honestly, I think its the better call. They trade blows in many titles and anything RT, 4080 will peel away. If the 4080 was priced that way at launch, I would of went for it over the 7900 XTX.

I'm annoyed at this now.

I selected store pickup for £4.99 thinking I could go get it next day instead of having to pay £12 for next day home delivery. Turns out, £4.99 store pick up takes 7 days. You know what else takes 7 days? The £4.99 home delivery. It didn't tell me this until after I bought them, and I can't cancel the order. To cancel the order, I have to wait until I have the package, then take it into a store for a refund.

I paid £4.99 to inconvenience myself.

Since the magical internet money has been up lately and Newegg takes bitpay, I have been buying some random stuff.

image.png.fb91eb1adf523c12b2c30dbcf8895d70.png

I'd have rather just had the $7 off my $250 RAM kit, but sure throw in a microSD card I don't need instead ðŸ¤£

image.png.1fe5a2152099cc913b4fb5c0d13236b7.png

3x 10TB drives for $70 a pop seemed like a good  deal to add a storage pool in my backup NAS.

Been wanting to upgrade the old 1000w G2 on the test bench. The white cables should make it more obvious when I've got things on the verge of bursting into flames. ðŸ”¥

I decided to pick up some stuff that should allow me to make a video of the total eclipse on April 8th; needed some eclipse rated protective glasses, an ND5 filter (100000x +16.5 Stop) rated for solar, and an adapter ring for the filter (105mm-112mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Filter Adapter; allows me to mount the filter on my 150-600mm Sigma Sport OS).

My location is scheduled to be in the path of totality for ~2 minutes; and if the weather holds up, I should be able to shoot the video from my balcony.
