Just ordered one of these. Hot-swappable switches and RGB for $60. Two features I'm interested in at the moment for a really nice price. Based on the bit of reading I've done, it seems like decent quality too. Hopefully it holds up.

I grabbed a cheap wireless 80% 60% mechanical keyboard for my NUC, hasn't come in yet and all I know about it is it uses "MX Compatible" key caps and I think they're Jixian? I ordered the clicky blues, hopefully they aren't terrible.

How is that board? I'm looking for a cheap compact bluetooth mechanical board myself.

half sized right shift is the worst thing to happen since WW2 but otherwise it's a solid enough board.

Dierya DK-63, I got the Blues and they ended up being Outemu and not Jixian.

OOooo never noticed this thread.. I just buried my Corsair Strafe RGB (MX Blues) recently so I have a HyperX Alloy Elite RGB (cherry mx blue) on it's way.. I also have a "brand new" IBM Model M ps/2 circa 1991 and a Dell AT101W w/ complex alps....

 

Have been eyeing the Glorious GMMK for a long time now but haven't found the opportunity to get one yet.. maybe later this year

 

will get pics when the hyperx arrives..

Nice, added those boards. Always been moderately interested in a buckling spring board but just never pulled the trigger on one. I'm afraid I'd use it for a week and either find it too impractical or get bored with it and then never use it again.

...I was digging around in some old retro boxes, and next to a (functional !) Abit IC7, I found this old Mitsumi keyboard that makes a lot of click-clack noises when typing. I should continue to to dig as there also must be some old IBM mechanical keyboards in that storage area.

 

Anyway, here are some pics of the 104-key Mitsumi...it is from approximately 1998 + - , PS2 and has 'that' Windows key...

Recently purchased a handful of keyboard-related things, mainly a GMMK and a couple different sets of switches to try.

 

First up is Kailh Box Navys. They are, in every way, exactly what I hoped for. They're hilarious and I love them. That is all.

 

Also, feel free to keep posting keyboards, I'll keep track of the membership sheet and what boards everyone has and re-add it to the OP when that feature returns. The columns are the board, the switches, keycaps, and a photo if available. The more info, the merrier!

Can anyone recommend a Wireless/BT mechical keyboard that includes 10key and not low-profile? 

I'm struggling here in Oz to find any wireless mechanical keyboards that are full sized and inc 10key. With Covid and frequent work from home i'm looking for a decent full size mechanical keyboard i can easily pair and swap between my desktop PC and my laptop. It's almost like, at least from the 'big bois' like Corsair, such a keyboard doesn't exist.

Yes, actually the Vortex Tab90, one of the boards I have, fits that exactly. Includes all the keys of a fullsize board but in a slightly more compact layout. Bluetooth, not low profile. I highly recommend it.

Sporting a Razer Huntsman Elite and a Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition.

I've got a Corsair K95 Platinum with MX Brown switches, I really love it!
I used a bunch of mech boards from my brother to decide what I like the most, and I ended up with the browns. 
The RGB is pretty cool, but one thing I dislike is that I'm only able to save basic RGB profiles on the board. I hate running all kinds of software for the RGB, so basic (custom) lighting it is

I had the Corsair K95 Platinum but changed to the Logitech 512 Carbon Linear

TBH I wasn't a fan of the Corsair software and the keyboard did a few quirky things while gaming

Also not a fan of the light bleed style lighting

I have the Logitech Pro Wireless mouse (77gms) so I only need load LGS when changing one of the on-board profiles for the keyboard or mouse

Logitech Gaming Software has to be the easiest software to use

 

Picture looks a little washed out. Looks much nicer in reality

And yes, those are crumbs along the bottom

100% agree about the software!
I only had one issue a few times, where I pressed shift in MW2 and it switched to the Steam in game page. Not sure why that happened, but now you mention it I remembered it.

In BFV I would be holding the 'a' 'w' or 'd' key down to move and would stop moving so would have to release the key and press it again

Got me killed many times

What sort of switches do you have in those? Last time I checked, Razer still offers a couple or three choices for switch type in their boards and still do their own custom switches as well, but I've lost track to be honest.

 

How's the build quality as well? Never owned a Razer product before, largely because of the price, but historically they haven't had the best quality either, especially in their keyboards.

I'm in the same boat as far as software goes. Only ever used LGS (and now G Hub) for my Logitech mice and briefly whatever Corsair's software is for the Ironclaw mouse I had for one month before it kicked the bucket very prematurely. Never had much trouble with any of those, but mice tend to be more straightforward than keyboards as far as software customization.

I like that Logitech has gone for some more subtle and minimalistic designs with their gaming boards, especially considering some of their previous offerings like the 710+ and 910. How do you like the switches? Any striking difference between those and more common linear switches from Cherry or Gateron?

 

 

 

All three of you have been added to the spreadsheet, thanks for posting. You've also just about doubled the count of gaming keyboards on the sheet as well.

Switches seem fine to me but I'm not a very good keyboard user, to say the least

They are quite light to the touch with not a lot of feedback and fairly quiet, which is important to me as I'm in the lounge.

I tried that G-Hub but didn't really warm to it.

LGS didn't recognize my mouse off the bat but once I discovered the update button hidden under a small arrow in the bottom right corner I updated it and all was good

Seems for the Tournament Edition the Switches are RAZER™ LINEAR OPTICAL SWITCH with 1.0mm optical actuation that registers at the speed of light, expect nothing but instant response from every keystroke, as you react and execute clutch plays with clinical efficiency.

 

Quality is surprisingly good for these two. I will admit that I had other razer products and they failed badly after a few years. These are on a different level and price wise they cost a lot.

I do still prefer LGS to G-Hub, but they both work well enough for me.

 

The exception to that was the G29 racing wheel we had at the FSAE shop. G-Hub had become the new standard and it really didn't like connecting with the wheel. Fortunately I moved away from my personal G29 to nicer hardware before then, so I didn't have to deal with that mess much. Still had smaller, occasional issues with connecting it to LGS back in the day though, so maybe it was a hardware thing after all.

Interesting, that does about line up with what I've heard then. Back in the Black Widow days, there were lots of quality issues with individual keys sticking or no longer functioning after just a few months of use, but they seem to have upped their keyboard game at the very least. I'm not as informed on the quality of their mice, but I know a lot of people like them. Glad you enjoy the boards.
