I got another design planned but it will involve me using traditional mediums and then scanning it in, but I got some new watercolor markers expressly for this purpose. Let's hope they're better than the ones I already have.

Positions are usually offered upon noticing a user's talent and willingness to contribute . I love seeing a users Passion in whatever area that may be

 

Of course I do not tend to throw positions to people left right and centre as that devalues the position over all and nobody wants that. 

 

@neurotixhas done a great job with the graphics and offering up ideas which has definitely helped spur on the creation of the merch. 

 

I would love for neurotix and others to continue to offer up their graphics talent. Its a sought after talent and definitely one we want to keep within our community.

 

If a role becomes a thing for a graphics artist, well you will all find out quickly!

Thanks E, that means a lot to me to hear my work is appreciated, and I have fun and enjoy doing it. If there's any shirt ideas you have in mind, let me know and I'll do my best to create what you want.

 

Was pretty much kidding about the graphics designer position. I am also a talented writer but probably wouldn't be great at reviews.

Ok, fyi to people that Ultramega suggested an anime themed t-shirt, which I wholly agree on. However, we can't take random anime girl images from Google Images or something.

 

Thankfully, I have drawn anime characters since I was 14 so I can draw a character for an idea I have in mind. I am by no means a professional though. It will be done and colored with either marker (unlikely, we bought two sets of markers for this recently for me to test them, the "water color" markers didn't work as advertised) or colored pencil, inked, then scanned in and put into a shirt design. I will work on this soon.

 

If anyone has any alternative suggestions, like free to use anime characters (female) colored digitally and professionally that would be available for free from say, DeviantArt, we might consider that too.

As promised. Not complete and she only takes up half the page. Before continuing and drawing the rest of the image, I want to know if you guys think my anime art is good enough to put on a shirt. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do digital coloring.

 

 

If you guys think its good enough I will draw a test bench next to her on a table with a dice pot on both the cpu and gpu, complete with vapor, and a monitor with hwbot on it in the background. As well as a dewar of LN2.

 

Please give me your opinions, especially UltraMega since he suggested an anime shirt. If you want something better/professional looking then we may need to find some generic anime girl from DeviantArt and use that on a shirt instead.

I think we would need to go with a more digitally accurate illustration for this. I certainly appreciate the effort but I do not think this would work for the EHW merch as it stands right now. Please remember that we are not looking for any further designs right now and I cannot promise any further work will make it to the merch. Just looking out for you not spending tonnes of time on something that may not make it into any production, but if this is something you enjoy doing, then please feel free

I am glad you took it as I meant it. I was hoping that I had not inadvertently offended you in anyway.  Yeah, I did not want you to spend a load of time on it, there is nothing worse than working on something and it not reaching the expected fruition.

I've been drawing anime for 24 years, so if you ever change your mind, let me know and I will come up with something. It's a shame I don't know how to do digital coloring/drawing.

The drawing is better than I could do for sure but not right for merch. And as E said, we have enough artwork for now. If we do add anything else anytime soon it would have to be something that really stood out.

I know we're not making more merch for a while, but I wanted to let you all know that I read a few tutorials and learned how to do glitch art effects (are these still cool? Lol). These could possibly be done to the logo and other graphics or text. They could also be done to any banners for advertising foldathons on social media. Etc. Examples:

I would say yes the glitch art effect is still a thing same as “cyberpunk” is still a thing … at least my opinion and the secong picture is exactly “cyberpunk” style….

I'd like to see these effect applied to the metal gear logo you made. I bet that would look pretty cool.

Sure. I can do that.

 

I actually was in the process of making some glitch logos for fun and to post here, and want to make myself a sig image, but E told me some work on a project had problems so now I have to do that. HOWEVER, I still did these relatively fast. I will try to remember to do the metal gear logo one too, pm me this week if I forget and don't get to it.

 

Orange and blue and HSV noise.

 

 

Teal and magenta, white background, ton of HSV noise and some wind.

 

 

 

Probably not usable but amusing, its lime green and pink with a curve bend on both the top and bottom.
