Probably because of cache and RAM being so much faster on a 5900x vs whatever else.

Sadly it is true. Disabling cores is not allowed unless specified. If it says 4 cores, it means 4 "Physical" cores. If a CPU has 4 physical cores and 8 logical cores (HT) that works too. 

 

This list should help, anything that says AM4 with 4(4) or 4(8) would be allowed for the compo.

Just made the team switch from my old OCN account.

Thinking about dusting off some Windows installs and subbing some benchies for the team.

 

I'll take a look through the hardware pile and see what eligible hardware I have.

We took back second for now, thanks to Looze

Also, I managed to get a sub in with the 12300. 
It was a battle to get that to work properly, ranging between 131 and 128bclk during the benchmark. I had to use the blck up and down button to get the highest possible bclk per test

Good job so far guys, really rooting for you all especially to beat team OCN.

 

I tried y-cruncher pi 2.5b on my rig, but because I have an X3D chip it is PBO only, no manual ratio. The score was like 40 sec and it gave me an error too, so Flux's subs are way better. Sorry I can't help
