I just never stop folding 😅

I wish I could fold nonstop. I'd need to get another circuit added so I could install a mini split to keep the office at a bearable temperature. I'm willing to suffer once a month for the foldathons, but I'm also not the only one that lives here. I can't expect everyone to share in my suffering 😂

I think your stats are messed up. I have been doing a consistent 5 million ppd for a week or more, and it only says I have 5 mil in the contest stats.

I could be in first place if I wanted to, as I hold a 155 million ppd on Anandtech, but I didn't want to ruin your competition...

That 155 mil is just 7 video cards, 4 4090's, and 2 4080's, and a 3080TI.

It wouldn't ruin it at all. It would enhance it because I know that certain folks here ARE sandbagging. If you made a run for the top it would push those guys harder.

Yea we appreciate everyone stopping by to participate regardless of how many or few cards people choose to run.

Recently I've been open to branching out. I participated in the LTT month of folding and the Hardforum BigAdv EOL challenge. I admittedly had a more enjoyable experience at [H] than LTT. 😅

I love to see people from other forums stop by to fold with us. Many of us would be happy to join others events as well.

We check for updated team stats every 5 minutes, I believe.  We wouldn't be able to do that if we were tracking a lot of teams like eoc is.  With just our team, we haven't had any issues.

For the guys that normally don't fold often or are new to folding. Dial back those overclocks, espeically on the memory. F@H is more brutal than those synthetic stress tests and has like zero tolerance for errors, meaning the work units will fail if you are even slightly unstable. If anything, tune for efficiency as this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Already had some people messaging me with problems on systems that they thought were 100% stable.

Did this for my GPUs but, I almost didn't catch my 5800X3D Overheating before I took a nap.

It *was* bouncing off 95c+. Now it can bounce between "Hot" and "max spec"

Surprisingly that wasn't my issue, just windows update deciding that updating GPU driver just after i went to bed was a good idea and on daily apparently the hardware acceleration in steam/ integrated browser kept the GPU from actually boosting when folding while steam was updating games... So i can either fold at full power or update stuff, i thought that i might as well update some of my steam libary while the daily is on but computer says no 😢

Well, Crap...

image.thumb.png.4cb5f1d1b542658355e5bcaafa0dc672.png

Hoping a reboot fixes this, otherwise I may have made a wall hanger Vega
I was staying coolest of the 3 actively folding Processors; hoping driver crashed-out. Alternatively, my "CPU" is "Stable", but not the I/O Controller of the SoC (the V64 was on the CPU x16)

You check the LOG TAB and check the box for Warnings and Errors and maybe see what's up. Vega can fold pretty well, but don't OC the HBM 😄

Forgot to check the log b4 rebooting and fixing things. Ooops.

No clue why it is clocking higher than default on the core but, the HBM OC is purposeful. I can keep it cool, and HBM OCs seem to greatly benefit any workload I've thrown @ a Vega. (I'm open to being wrong, and losing another Work Unit. 🤪)

Regardless, I have good reason to suspect it was the drastic undervolt.

Also, it nuked the driver on reboot.
So, I just cleanly uninstalled and reinstalled a better-known-to-be stable driver pkg.
