Looks good. One thing I noticed is threads with "solved" icon look like this. Not sure if you wanted it above the thread title, or in-line?

Unless you've already fixed it, its in line correctly for me.  Maybe it has something to do with the table width?

By the way, the change looks pretty good so far.  I do appreciate the "OP" and "Last poster" names being right up front like that.  Very nice addition there.

Noice!

In my mind, "Op" should be "OP" but now I'm just being fussy 😛

Edit: It also may be worth harmonizing the date format across all types of posts.

Reviews still follow the full date (E.g, January 4, 2024) whilst all other posts and threads follow (MM DD, HH:MM)

Still looks the other way to me. Could maybe be table width when viewing on my laptop?

If your truncate the window, the text redirects to the next available row below.

E.g., this is when I squish my chrome browser window on a 1440p monitor.

I'm seeing a weird doubling of the OP/last lines in landscape orientation on mobile.

The OP and last are two different lines with the date being a third line for me on mobile, but still better to be able to see the titles.

Nice 🙂

I'm not sure if this also matters and if I am just racking up your bill with the dev for all these changes, but within the threads, the "OP" is listed as "Topic Starter". image.png.4913b9f55981678744ce531145808259.png

Just more food for thought if you want to be more consistent across the board. Take these as suggestions, ultimately, I don't want you to spend too much time / $ on these items.

I voted NO, but if there was a 3rd option that said something like "leave it alone. it's not broken" I would have voted that.

This is how it looks for me on my phone. An improvement overall, but I think it would look better if OP and Last were on one line and let that line be cut off if it gets too long. I think we will still see most of a user name if it gets cut off a little at the end.

One thing I notice is that the bubble that shows the number of posts is always below the title, meaning the title could go all the way to the right edge of the column and sit above the bubble.

I think the text below the title (OP, Last, Date) could all be slightly smaller too. Just like one or two font sizes down.

I used some photo editing to move the text around to what I think it could be:

test2.png

This is just a quick example. Probably should have made it a little taller and left some space under the title for text that could go over into a second line, but I think you get the idea. The dead space under the user icon and over the bubble for number of threads could be better used.

Thanks, I will make that as a suggestion to the Dev if it makes the layout easier to work with when trying to accommodate for the varying resolutions of devices.

I have written up the adjustments list for the dev and will send to him tomorrow. Note that there will only be so much we can cater to and alas, I won't be able to make it look spectacular on all devices, nature of the beast when you have a tonne of different devices being used on the site 😕

The poll was originally for whether or not we removed the Date/Time. Granted this topic evolved somewhat based on feedback and my general agreement with the ideas and different changes have been implemented. As I say, I wont be able to please all. it may be possible to have a theme switch to allow you to have the "Simpler" old version back, but this would be a consideration for the future.

The goal here is to make titles more visible, which is really important IMO. The rest of the changes are preferential, but titles need to have enough room to be able to get the point of the title/headline across.

What about just keeping it simple?

Leave the titles part as is the way it is now, allowing upwards of 2 lines of text.

Move OP down 1 line below the title (which I believe is "as is" now).
Force "Last" to be 1 line below "OP" instead of even allowing it on the same line as OP (since sometimes it splits anyway)

Abbreviate the date to be numerical so it fits without going down yet another line.

This would force that section to stay within 3-4 lines of text at most, and it'd have everything requested visible as best as possible.
