Nice to see that it has independent suspension and decent wheels (well, not the cop car). Hopefully, they'll add a hybrid option down the line.

It based on the escape so no issue for snow loved my work escape 2014/2017/2020 for drifting and deep snow.

 

A mr heater would be enough in the winter am sure.

 

And there already a hybrid version but it a fwd only.

 

But i want awd

...yeah, awd w/hybrid would be my choice also. As you may know, before winter really set in back East, we had about ten days of super-cold (for us here at sea level out West, -11 C  might as well be - 50 C in the arctic). Roads were a mess with deep snow, then lots of black ice - awd came in handy with my SUV.

I got some 20-22% twisty 20mph hill on the ways to my work. When it snow i need to remove traction control and use Manualshift and let the tire spin.

 

My studded tire had 4 years only but now all the stud are gone

 

I won't be working here for long. Am kinda exhausted of fwd even taking corner is ways safer with awd or rwd.

...some serious mountains and twisties around here as well -fun for winter-driving . I first learned winter-driving in Europe, then in Ontario's snowbelt, with a torquey V8 rear-wheel drive...but the temps were well below -5 C (actually better for traction) and the car had full positraction rear-diff. I am not a great friend of fwd as I loath understeer (while oversteer can be fun...).

 

...some pics I posted before, the first two involved a more recent, twisty uphill jaunt in the winter, and the older pic (bottom-right) is when I returned from a cross-Canada drive in the winter and stopped at the Crowsnest Pass in the Rockies. FYI, I always carry chains for the tires...

Damn, I watched his video's. He was good. Shame he died that way. I bet "awe *" was that last thing going through his mind before that snowmobile. 

 

I wonder how much they had to pay the city to get all those cops lined on the road like that. Hella cool.

...that's shocking - and a bit reminiscent of Michael Schumacher's skiing accident...top drivers survived all kinds of motorsport accidents but then get into 'trouble' while playing in the snow.  

 

I watched most of Ken Block's vids - he was an absolutely brilliant talent in 'car control', rallying etc  and still seemed like a down-to-earth chap in spite of his success.

Yeah seems like the past few days have been pretty hard on the popular; what with Block's death, Hamlin's heart failure on the field, and Renner getting both legs run over while plowing snow. There's likely more, but those three stand out.

lol Mercedes have completely lost it with their engine naming. They've just announced that the next E63 AMG is going to have an I6 instead of V8. This would be fine, except:

The C63 AMG has a 700hp 2L I4

The upcoming E63 AMG will have a 700hp 3L I6

The S63 AMG has an 800hp 4L V8.

 

The numbers are meaningless.

Does the C63 really have a 700hp 2.0 engine? Must be incredibly powerful for the footprint it takes up.

The engine itself makes 470hp, the rest is electric motors.

I need to get my car started soon and hopefully running. I was going to wait until I had the job that I want but I need some things done that i have 0 control over. I've been waiting for it to get done since the start of 2020. Finally got those things in, I could go do the next step, except when I got to the next step, I got told it had been cancelled due to the power being out. Now i have to wait until at least March for me to be able to do it again.

 

Anyway, I do like that 95 RON is the cheap petrol here now, which at the time of manufacturer, was premium and it's what my car requires. However, it's also E10 minimum now. My car can't do E10, so I have to find some ethanol free fuel that isn't leaded or £5/L
