😭 I've got the slow one.

...slow is a relative term. Below via my multi-mobo Ravens' nest build, including SN750 and SN850

Picked up an SSD for the sim rig. I've had great luck running several of the older SN750's in other builds so $80 for this seemed like a decent deal.

Edit... I bought more stuff

I had set my TV budget at around $1200. Picked up this last years model on clearance to keep some money in the budget for an ARC A770 🤣

image.png.4963530bd763d54d04da0f66dff1572b.png

I also ordered a shifter mount for the racing sim and some Vegemite because my Aussie friend said I should try it

It's more of a walking puzzler, which I kinda like (I'm an old fart). Also love the Gigeresque  graphics and have been waiting longer for it than any new video card. Who knows, I might even do a detailed review of the game with a pip version of me in a video playing it. If I do so though, I'd be wearing a Plague Doctor's getup.

...

Anyway, I'll download it shortly; and fwiw, next game I buy will probably be Atomic Heart.

Are those pure sine models or simulated sine?  Either way, nice find for free!  Check the batteries of course.  If they're bad, a LOT of units are capable of being wired up to a car battery too, depending on the unit of course.  Needs to be a bigger unit to be able to handle it without overheating, probably would recommend active cooling anyway if modding.  And, of course, goes without saying, use sealed batteries if you mod, so either Lithium or AGM.

My most recent purchase, I derped and forgot to delete an old address out of ebay, so dunno where it is.  But 2 of these:

Those are, wow, those are pretty nice!  I'd offer to buy them off ya, but I'm on 120v and those are 240v.

Was able to pickup my HDD's at the local post office today, so that's kinda nice. 🙂  I have them in hand, ready to go for my build this week finally. :wheee:

...I was going to wait for more info on RDNA3X and 4090 Ti, but the best-laid plans and all that.

US$ 1,618 is not chump change, but this is a well-reviewed card (up-to 600W full-fat) that should finally allow me to hit the limits on the 48 inch 4K 120 Oled...DLSS3 on what I play was another factor - and then it turned out that a place near my home seemed to have the largest stock still available, sooo...

Been using the 140mm SW3s, but am now moving to the larger Noctuas to cut down on clutter:

It's actually cheaper for me to order directly from Watercool than from someone here on this side of the pond. No sales tax per se, and no shipping charges if I hit the 500 Euro mark (even with the crappy exchange rate Paypal offers).

Lastly, I should also note that even though a wait time of 24 days or so was stated for the fan brackets when I ordered, I received a notice from Watercool the following morning telling me the order's been shipped.

From the early leaked benchmarks I've seen, it looks like AMD is in for some serious competition there.  I think you will do well with that cpu.  In fact, if Intel keeps this up, my next rig will be Intel based, something that I haven't done in years thanks to them insisting that mainstream didn't need more than 4 cores back when Ryzen first came out.  When you get it, please make sure I see any benchmarks you post.

I thought I should mention that I canceled my pre-order. I decided to not spend any money and wait for the KS to drop.  Same idea on 4090... Spend nothing now and just wait for the Ti. But, the fact that you can buy one today at Microcenter for less than $600 is amazing and would make me change my mind.

Sadly, the closest one is about a 7-hour drive each direction, so not an option. It sucks that Phoenix doesn't have one. They would make a killing here. Tons of techies, low taxes, business-friendly government, etc. Weird that they have chosen to continue doing business in a whacko state such as California.

As for Micro center, I feel ya. The 2 closest to me are each aprox. 4 hours away in opposite directions. 1 in KS the other in TX. 🙄

My 13900K showed up today as well. Also got my package from Watercool:

Not that it's a problem for me, but I should note that the A20 Chromax fans for the MORA as shipped by Watercool don't come with cables. Just in case anyone else decides to order some of those fans someday.
