Another Infrared thermometer w/Laser pointer...

Are these at all accurate? I've always wanted to grab one for curiosity's sake... but I feel like a FLIR device will be more informative.

My order's in for parts/etc. I need for NVIDIA GPU Stage 2 (HWBOT TEAM COMP); going to volt mod the 2080ti and picking up a 6core CPU (10600K):

The yellow paint is for my 3d printed spongebob equipped with dual birdies.

couldnt resist to get this one for 319 at megekko, a proper PCB with 2520A Vcore rating (24 phase 105A) and external baseclock generator chip for my 7800X3D. It does look pretty stealthy which i really like as well. I could have gone for the GENE for 399 at tones.be but this one is E-ATX which i prefer. cant wait to get it rolling 🙂

☝️nice!

I also got some additional stuff showing up tomorrow from Titan Rig to support my pending subs; and dug a fine soldering tip out of my closet for the smd and voltage control work on the 2080ti. The shipment from Amazon is also scheduled to be delivered tomorrow:

I've also got to get the boobies n' beer glasses out to those I promised them to. On the one I'm keeping, I had to superglue a nipple back on that came off in shipping, so there's that (those recipients might have to do the same):

That's my dream B650E board if my Asus B650E-F makes any further difficult to resolve VRM chirping noises next time it tries to step down from a heavy load or I change the standard environmental operating conditions of my rig. The Taichi Lite completely embarrasses the B650E-F in every way at the same price point and Asus should be ashamed.

I was looking at the Gigabyte Aorus B650E tachyon with 16 of the 105A powerstages and dual DIMM but couldnt find it in Europe, Then next up the Strix models as they are the cheaper option with bclk generator chip. They look ok, are a bit basic. Would rather get a GENE so i was also looking for that, once had a deal for 300 but then the burning CPU debacle came along and i settled with the cheapest white ASrock and it ran my 7700X with A-die really good.. Then i saw the Taichi Lite at CES and this instantly was my favorite board , the specs, the minimalistic looks, the E-ATX formfactor. I like Asrock too. After that i kinda forgot about it because my Asrock B650M Pro RS with 7700X could do 7800C34 stable and 8000+ in benchmarks and that is pretty much the best you can out of the non 3D models anyway. But now I recently swapped the CPU for a 7800X3D and  cannot get beyond 102.5 bclk, whit 5050 max clock thats a laugh 😛  So a couple days ago I found the Taichi Lite is for sale in Italy and start searching for it and it appears in my webshop Megekko. I discovered on a forum , another tweaker decided to contact Asrock benelux and asked for the release date and the next day Megekko ,which is official retailer gets a box of them and maybe i am the second guy to get one in Benelux.

The ones with bclk generator are all very expensive, i think the next cheap option is the Strix B650E-F for around 275, im not evenb 100% sure the lower end strix models DO actually have one. then the B650E AORUS Master, then it get tricky because the GENE for 400 is still extremely tempting for the specs you get. All the other more expensive ASUS boards and Gigabyte boards have bclk gen and are very good looking, but a full specced E-ATX Taichi for just 299 dollar at Newegg mate thats just insane value for any upcoming AM5 CPU

None of the B650E Strix boards have it. The X670E-E and X670E-F do. See column W in this spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NQHkDEcgDPm34Mns3C93K6SJoBnua-x9O-y_6hv8sPs/edit#gid=513674149

The B650E Taichi Lite is in a class of its own. The Gigabyte Aorus B650E boards with external BCLK, including the one you mentioned, are almost impossible to find. Current generation Gigabyte boards in general for both AMD and Intel have been scarce and some have to be imported from Hong Kong or China. I haven't paid any attention to what's been going on with them aside from their recent website and motherboard backdoor security issues, but it's like they're quietly exiting the western market while maintaining the facade of still being a major player.

Was also looking at high end Gigabyte and other manufacturers high end  Z790 boards recently, preferably with 2 DIMM slots. I was very hyped for the Z790 Tachyon, pretty much unobtainable here in Europe as well. So I think you are right Gigabyte leaving the western market quietly. I managed to get a Z690 Tachyon for 299 euro which is also one of the best specced 1700 boards out there. They are selling for 399 now.

Thanks so much for that Google docs table 👍 - I had been eyeing an Aorus 670E Master (knew of one left in town) but wanted to know more about the oc clock features. The retailer mounted the CPU (7950X3D, in part for productivity) and flashed the latest bios already. RAM is 48 GB (2x 24 GB) 7200 TridentZ 36 CL....Unfortunately, I won't have time for about a week to ten days to exchange mobos in my w-cooled setup as I am very busy at work...but anticipation is a lot of fun in itself...

PRICE was right, and I got a Starfield Premium coupon 😃

My brand new Delta 850W Platinum PSU i got a couple months ago is dead. It took a 2TB Kinston NV2 with it im afraid. My B650M Pro RS  and the rest is still good. i just sold the Asrock Pro, now ready to drop 7800X3D in the Taichi! I returned the PSU to Alternate...  thought Delta is an established brand but there are multiple bad reviews the last couple weeks for this particular batch as seen on Tweakers. All bought from same store.

So i got a proper high end unit from a guy on tweakers.net, a ROG Strix 750G, made of of a Seasonic Focus PLUS Gold but with larger heatsink and larger fan. Brand new in box 70 inc shipping full 10y warranty. So i now i have 2 ROG strix items in this PC and you wont even see them 🙂

hope you aren't using a 3080/3090/4080/4090, the Focus Plus has issues with ripple transient spikes on those cards. I had to retire mine when I bought my 3080 Ti.

hope you aren't using a 3080/3090/4080/4090, the Focus Plus has issues with ripple on those cards. I had to retire mine when I bought my 3080 Ti.

not planning to use any of those cards, however i have a 3060ti and i will be using it every now and then with that unit...

not planning to use a GPU with over 250W draw, 3060ti, 1080, something like that, RX 7600 8GB main GPU. Will those low end cards be an issue with that PSU for transient spikes?

should be fine. My Focus Plus handled my 3080 Ti if I limited it to ~50% PL in Afterburner.

earlier models had issues with certain 970s and Vega 56/64 too (here) but afaik that issue was fixed in later models. afaik it was never fixed for 3000 series.
