  1. The way in which you tried to embed it was not quite correct. I have embedded it for you with the method used on the site. However, it seems the document is not yet published. You can see how to embed sheets and how to publish the page by checking out our site guide, look in the "Available BBCODES section" : https://extremehw.net/forum/main-for...guide-features Cheers E
  2. I did consider the 1070's. I looked at the 1080Ti's but they still hold their value a little on the high side (For good reason). That is because you area good boy On another note the MSI B360-F PRO Motherboard arrived today as well as the 2x replacement fans. So we now have a full compliment of fans. So just some opinions would be good with respect to the CPU. I am aiming for the i7-9700 (Non K). The non K is cheaper and will have adequate cores to babysit the Nvidia GPU's. As I will not be folding no the CPU then I do not see a huge need to go up a notch to the K variant to take of Overclocking. What do you guys think ? Yes I know mad right, not overclocking ! but being realistic, this CPU is not going to see much action.
  3. Ambitious yes....but nothing wrong with shooting for the stars
  4. Added sale items to go towards CFP : https://extremehw.net/forum/the-storeroom/folding-home/5572-extremehw-community-folding-project?p=5573#post5573
  5. We must beat LTT ! Seriously though we are making great progress !
  6. You can indeed skew the results by doing that for sure, but you have to draw the line somewhere otherwise it starts to get a little complicated. There are ways of making it super fair, but with that comes super restrictive criteria which is just a massive turn off when it comes to these kinds of events, you have to take the rough with the smooth as they say.
  7. Hey bud, Yeah looked up a few options including the Aqua Computer products but from what I could see, they would not have enough grunt to get these bad boys going. However @axipher had a good idea with a Molex PWM splitter. This would allow me to power the fans via Molex while having 3 fans per adapter to being able to use the PWM feature from the Mobo header. This is great as it gives me better control over them with a view to making sure it does not fly away...or make it fly away when I need lol This is the adaptor I speak of: https://www.ebay.com/itm/264641554586
  8. We decided not to do it by overall points just for the reason you mentioned as it means people with super rigs would clean up all the time which is Uber unfair. The only other metric to use was the WU count, granted we could of just put everyone's name in once into the hat, but that does not spur any meaningful competition. The fun value and friendly competition is what makes these giveaways enjoyable and ensures we make the best of it contribution wise to the cause Just as an FYI I always use a name picker for fair picking. I use Wheel Of Names, great tool as after spinning to pick a winner you can then auto delete those entries in one go so when you next spin you don't end up with the same name again lol
  9. So bloody annoying when that happens!
  10. Bit of a delayed response. Yeah sounds about right. In ear only provides so much bass but more importantly you have to have quality bass.
  11. Awesome, just give me your card details and we will be away
  12. Well if that is true then hot damn, the Intel punishment continue.
  13. I agree, speed has come a long way and frankly is fine, but the range really suffers when pumping out those speeds. I would rather have s better balance between the two but you have to sacrifice one for the other...mostly.
  14. You trying to say I need 6x 2070 Super cards for the CFP lol.
  15. Would be interesting to see a memory bench of the mixed modules running vs a matched kit at the same speed and timings to see what kind of impact you are looking at.
  16. This is the risk of keeping older systems in place, eventually it can be exploited directly or indirectly. Will have to let my family know as they are nintenerds.
  17. Hey Chaps. So with respect to the demanding fans we have for this build which are rated at 2.7 Amps, obviously we cannot connect these to any normal motherboard headers...not that there are enough as we have 6 Fans. So with that I have been searching for a Hub that can handle 34 Watts per channel, I wanted a hub as they usually have a connector for the Motherboard so I can configure fans speeds via BIOS or Software. However not coming up with much. Any ideas ? Alternatively I can get 6x Noctua NA-FC1 controllers, each of these can handled up to 3Amps each so these would work. I would put these in the case and set the fans to a desired speed and leave them. However a hub would be more desirable. Any thoughts on the topic would be great. Thanks, E
  18. Hey bud, If you publish your Google Sheet to the web we can embed it properly in your thread so you get a nice preview and people can browse it without having to go to the sheet on another Window
  19. On another note, I have also added a GoFundMe campaign if people prefer to go that route rather than Paypal Feel free to share the campaign among your peeps. Nice ! With respect to the risers are they like these : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB3-0-PC...EAAOSwZNleGW1z (I am not sure if all the risers are USB3.0 or not but I would imagine that is a must for performance) As or the PSU & Drive, Nice. I cannot imagine an enclosure for the M.2 drive to SATA would be expensive, I would imagine I can get that from trusty Ebay. Where are you located in the world if you do not mind me asking ? Thanks very much for offering these up ! Well....you gotta sell what you gotta sell right but yeah it is ironic. May bring the price down a little though. I am even selling my 12x Nidec Gentle Typhoons on Ebay as well as a couple of spare Noctua NF-A14's (Industrial 3000RPM versions).
  20. Hey, We are in the process of applying upgrades to the image up loader hopefully this weekend. However to help me solve any possible issues could you post a video of this issue in our Bugs Section ? Cheers, E
  21. I tend to get kits just so it is a plug in and never think about it again scenario....literally the only reason.
  22. Definitely a question for our lords and saviors of folding @Simmons & @axipher I have not played with flags in years !
  23. I have never looked into mice with optical switches so I would be at a loss on that one. I have to say I must be a basic bitch as I tend not to use side buttons all that much.
