Maybe its just because I have so many? o.0 I'm not complaining mind you, I appreciate the fact I can at the very least change the main one. It's still a welcome improvement regardless.
-
Neither fixed it for me. Still not showing in correct order in signature, but its ordered correctly under my rigs in settings. I can at least change the primary one, so that's a huge improvement all on its own regardless. :)

It's kinda working, kinda not on my end. Might just be because I made the changes and expected them immediately. Will check back tomorrow (later today). I ordered mine: AMDwhee, AMDerp, and then ThunderK7 as my third. Currently I'm seeing Phenomenon as my third still, but the other 2 are right, and if I go to rig creator they're set right too. It is REALLY nice being able to set my primary rig as the primary one you see in my sig now though. Much appreciated! EDIT: Yeah tried changing again to having AMDerp as primary, then Tole-hoe, then ThunderK7....just to see how the system works, if it does immediately. Main rig changed properly to AMDerp. Secondary still shows AMDwhee and third still shows Phenomenon, which both shouldn't be displayed at all. So again, will check back in the morning.

It's actually JUST starting to cool off enough now, I could put my 290x back to work again if I needed to. I think we're kinda waiting for the hwbot team competition to be over with first though. I know I've been busy with that and some other projects before I can worry about getting folding going again.

As far as I could tell, the GTX 460 SLI run was correct, but was overpowered by Flux's run. And your GTX 1080Ti run was overpowered by RTX 2080 cards, so as far as I could tell you're good. Idk if those were the only errors on the iGPU run though, but as far as I can tell it should be 100% correct now.

I can guide you through making the submissions correct mate. So long as I wasn't put in the time out corner myself.....

/img/logo.png pioneerisloud`s Cinebench - R11.5 score: 1.33 cb with a Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Manchester) HWBOT.ORG The Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Manchester) @ 2700MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the Cinebench - R11.5 benchmark... There you go @Avacado. I told you I wasn't gonna settle on a stock run. @Fluxmaven watched the whole run too, it was legit, so don't put ME in the corner either for it. Ask anybody that knows Socket 939. 2.70GHz on a Manchester core x2 is a good run. My 3.1GHz stable Toledo apparently has died sometime, I'll call it a pre-death. But 2.7 on a Manny, with..........DDR-540....... I'm impressed enough with that run for what the CPU was. Now, I'm eyeballing an Opteron 175 like SERIOUSLY bad for $40. Should be a 3GHz+ chip based on the stepping and date codes....... Kind of want. Then I could properly use this really good board again. Sigh, ebay is taking me over again and I don't have the spare $40.

I'll repeat my same comment from YT...... "Pls pls pls be playable with a 6900XT at 4k. At least give us FSR capabilities that make it so."

Interesting problem, and interesting solution I suppose. What's wrong with busting out a paper towel and rubbing alcohol again (or a Q tip)? -

Optimal sound card/audio setup w Z-5500 Logitech sound system
pio replied to Storm-Chaser's topic in Computer Audio
I must've mis-remembered his power, he's using a Peavey CS-800 in that video. He was using 45w each BEFORE that video, that must've been where I got it from. Here's the thread: Build your own 2x12" TH (The Kraken 212 TH) | Page 4 | diyAudio WWW.DIYAUDIO.COM You got pics? it looks like a box in the back of a van, this box, Reed Exodus Anarchy 25hz Tapped Horn - AVS Forum scaled up about 20%... Obviously you can't build that same setup TODAY since those subs are no longer manufactured or sold. But the same concept could hold true. Tapped horns can be absolutely mean, but they're huge usually. -
I wrote a couple (bad ones) on audio gear I bought. I don't think it matters that much what you're writing about, so long as its tech oriented and you enjoy it. Games would certainly fit that category.

Build yourself one of these then. That's 2x 12" JBL subs I believe it was, off just a "measely" 100w RMS to the pair of them (50w each). The enclosure is what makes the sound with subwoofers most of the time. Watch the left corner WALL of the room.....that's his sub box. -
Unneeded bump. We're definitely lacking in the amateur reviews section guys! C'mon, review your garbage you're buying! I see you guys posting in the "What did I buy today" thread. Review it!

Optimal sound card/audio setup w Z-5500 Logitech sound system
pio replied to Storm-Chaser's topic in Computer Audio
The Logitech system is "boomy" because its tuned higher than the Klipsch subs are. I've stated the solution already, get better front speakers to replace the Logitech 2.5" or 3" speakers you're using now, so you can use a slightly lower crossover frequency on the 12" subs. You're missing probably 60Hz-200Hz or so as is, even WITH your crossovers on the subs set to a really high point. A 12" speaker just doesn't do higher frequencies as well as a smaller speaker does (usually). A good pair of bookshelf speakers or a pair of those same center speakers you have would extend down to 50-60Hz no problem and fill in that mid bass section that the Logitech "sub" does on its own. You probably wouldn't even NEED the 12" subs at that point to compare to the Logitech z623 setup. But of course, dual 12" Reference Klipsch subs rattling your bones down to 30Hz and below, why wouldn't you? You also said you bought the z623's for another setup anyway, so I'm not going to yell and scream too much about it. But yeah, getting rid of the Logitech speakers in favor of some better front Left / Right speakers WILL give you that mid bass "thump" that you're after with the Logitech's sub. -
Gorgeous shots man! I don't smoke anymore, but the offer to hang is still valid.

I'll just leave this here: Logitech z623 Review NOAUDIOPHILE.COM They're noise makers. That's about it. If you're only about making loud noises with them, they'll do fine. PC Gaming, they'll do "fine". But hey, I'm all for experimenting. Give them a listen! If you don't like them, Amazon should take them back no problem. Honestly, these would've been a MUCH better buy, as you could easily add in a powered sub to the setup later (possibly with very easy to do slight mods, or can just use an RCA splitter). Monoprice has an okay enough 8" for like $60 $90 (price went up apparently). Assuming the Edifiers alone didn't pack enough of a punch. Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM -
Hey, I'm only about ~300 points behind you at what was it 4.7 all core? 4.65? Either way, seems like mine is NOT performing that badly afterall at least! Glad you got a better run than I did. That just means we're doing something right....moar free internet points! Exactly. I've been having a BLAST doing these runs. As I said earlier, "technically" my first time actually competitively benching (for hwbot). Keeping it fun and not an ACTUAL competition where feelings can get hurt is what its all about. We score whatever we score, and we had fun doing it.
-
We only have a good chance because we're all helping out. Teamwork was important in this competition, and we definitely seem to have that down pretty well here. Sorry to hear about all the things you're going through mate. Things will get better. Sounds like you've got most of the important expensive bits handled so far. Not going to lie, I was kind of hoping to see you run some of your gear, but at the same time was dreading it too because it'd knock us down. But it'd just make me want to try to improve my own subs too anyway, so whatever. I'm definitely limited by my cooling capacities, so it is what it is. Nothing wrong with keeping some of your "secrets" to yourself, you're here, and you're helping us out where you can. You still hold several #1 spots, so your advice is definitely appreciated. Take care of the things you need to first. HWbot will always be there, but sounds like you need to focus your attention elsewhere. Definitely keep yourself in good health, so go handle your doctor related stuff. If you do happen to get some runs in, it'll be an honor to compete against you. If you don't, there's always the next competition for you to kick my butt in. I figure since you helped with my old boards, its only fitting......I'm going to TRY to bust out that A8N32 again to see if its capable. I know I've got a good clocking x2 for it, I just need to figure out what the problem was last time I had it out. I can't for the life of me remember why I didn't want to use it. *shrugs Short of one, ONE CPUz submission years and years ago, and one DICE run using somebody else's name on hwbot (may he R.I.P.), this is my first REAL run with hwbot too. The DICE run, he was using my equipment for the run because he didn't have Skt 939 equipment, and I wasn't doing any competing for hwbot at the time. So brought it over and we had some fun with it. Good times. Yeah I gave up on my 5800x. I can't for the life of me figure out the RAM stuff on it. I'm scoring less in Cinebench right now than a 3800x does.

CPU-NB clocks, get those up higher. 2.8-3.0GHz should be easy at 1.45v CPU-NB. You're under water, maybe you can get by with more. The more the better, but I'd expect around 3GHz. CPU-NB was the key for Phenom II back in the day, it was almost as important as CPU clocks IIRC. I mean it was for daily use / gaming rigs, I'd assume it'd be the same on benching. I know what you're about to do....... Well, not really. You're going to show me up on my old school knowledge, I know that much. A little friendly competition isn't gonna hurt anything. I wish you nothing but luck, and its awesome that you've been chiming in and helping us anyway.

Just a quick example of what a little settings tweak can do...
pio replied to schuck6566's topic in PC Gaming
That's right, "1440p" would be basically 2/3 right on the nose, so yeah 0.6 is just a hair under. 1080p being 1/2. Silly numbers. Honestly with modern dynamic resolution scaling options, its really not even all that bad going with a lower resolution if you absolutely have to. -

So its basically a render size difference of what, 1920x1080 on top vs approximately 2560x1440 on the bottom screen then right? Yeah, that's about the right amount of a jump. I've been having a "fun" time tinkering with resolution scaling too since I'm back on an RX 580 for a little while myself. -
