  1. All servers are updated and ONLINE!
  2. I read a few reports of people unlocking the shaders, but I wouldn't count on it. You're spot on, its for unlocked memory performance and higher clocks moreso than anything. With the right BIOS installed on a Vega56 it'll operate dang near identically to a Vega64, regardless of the missing shaders. It's been forever since I tried BIOS flashing, but from what I'm reading you want to make sure you have Samsung memory, and that you flash the correct BIOS to it. TechPowerUp will be your best source of information for this honestly. But yes, its absolutely possible to do, and worth doing.
  3. Yeah. Those are very interesting results. So 3060Ti or RX6600/6700 (depending on budget). And then 3070 at the higher end. That's not what I would have expected at all, but that's kinda neat!
  4. If I'm reading that graph correctly, looks like the RX6000 series cost per frame is the lowest? Neat way to look at things!
  5. UPDATE: So of course, right after we get all 4 servers online, the developers decided to throw us a curve ball and update the game again. Seriously guys, you need to check this game out. New cars, new stock maps, new fluid dynamics simulation in the shock absorbers, I mean they really outdid themselves (again) with the free updates! As such, had to make sure our mod pack was updated as well. Our WA State servers 1 and 2 are both online. The Canadian servers (3 and 4) are currently offline and being updated with the latest pack, and being map swapped. Promise, done doing updates (unless the game does or mods break) for a little while now. Will give another update once those 2 are back online as well. Added: Lego Car DEMO Stambecco Pack 1.0 New Maps Added: Wild West Motorsports Offroad Track (Lidar) 1.5.1 LucasOil Trophy Truck Track (LiDAR Edition) 1.2.4 Mods that were updated: Gavril Grand Marshal Small Pack 2.033 Backyard Kart 0.8.6 2022 Procyon Centauri 1.0.4 Phoulkon CIWS V1.1 D-Series Configurations, Engines, Intakes, and Transmissions Pack Annual Update Motorsports Playground .27 Mod Pack Download Links (updated in OP): BeamMP Mod Pack v1.00 WA State servers - ONLINE Canadian Servers - OFFLINE (till updated)
  6. Fantastic and thorough review! Loved the little personal touches you put into it too. Kinda making me want to go out and buy another NVME drive now. I need one anyway, maybe after Christmas.
  7. They're all showing OOS on my end on newegg?
  8. Just for shiggles, I decided to look up these cards to see if they were released yet on newegg, Amazon, etc....... Looks like scalpers are still at it. 7900 XTX's are listed as more expensive than 4090's are at current time of posting on most sites. Ebay does seem to have some "cheaper", but they're still $1500 there too.
  9. Per the Lenovo Forums, and I quote: "I can confirm unoffically (I do not work for lenovo) that this laptop is compatible with 16GB of DDR3L ram." https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-1xx-3xx-5xx-7xx/ideapad-110-15ACL-Maximum-RAM/td-p/3743476 EDIT: This is the stick the guy used in his: Crucial 16GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT204864BF160B - Newegg.com WWW.NEWEGG.COM Buy Crucial 16GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT204864BF160B with fast shipping and...
  10. I see that now, oops. The ones I was seeing on newegg for stupid cheap were ECC sticks. Might want to double check maybe CPU world to see if the CPU itself will allow 16GB DIMMs?
  11. $10,300 at the time of this post.
  12. I'm not 100% sure if the US servers are up or not too on that note. With the latest update to the game released yesterday, I haven't had the chance to check. I just reinstalled my main rig, so I haven't had the time to put BeamMP back on there to check it. So, assume mine are offline too. We will ALSO more than likely have to double check the mod packs. So expect a new mod pack being released in the next few days as well because the 0.27 update is a pretty big one. Updating OP. - ALL SERVERS OFFLINE.
  13. Manual says 8GB max, that's what I'd go with. I think the reason why they went with 8GB is because that was the largest capacity for DDR3 sticks at the time. I see now with a search on newegg, apparently there is NOW 16GB sticks available. It's really hard to say, grab a cheap stick and give it a try? Worse case scenario, send it back. I've seen weirder happen. My Socket 939 boards all say 4GB max in them because 1GB sticks were the biggest sticks available PERIOD. But that didn't stop me from trying 4GB ECC sticks in them for 16GB.......
  14. This means I'm out of storage jail!!! This is great news! Awesome update E!
  15. My apologies mate. I watched more than the first 10 seconds of the video, I got a little distracted by all of the rest of the goodies in there to zone in on just the one card. There was a LOT to oogle over in there.
  16. Yeah, hopefully Kingpin finds something else that he really loves doing. Working for EVGA overclocking everyday for the last 15 years has had to have been a dream job. Some of that stuff he brought out....man oh man. The LN2 closed loop build, his 4 way SLI riser, all that history on the shelves that he created, just wow. And some of those pots he had, just some seriously awesome stuff he has there in his little dungeon. I don't remember him pulling out the "not a 4090" card though? I might've missed it with all the rest of the video though. There was tons of stuff going on in that video afterall.
  17. You know..........I'm no "expert" by any means, but there's tons of people that DIY exactly those kinds of adapters at home. I was actually JUST looking into some adapting risers, that I'm going to keep secret until the next good hwbot competition, but its something I'd have to fabricate to an extent. Not a 4 way like that, but its similar concept.
  18. Yeah, the RT performance hit, I mean we knew before release it wasn't going to be spectacular. But I'd like to actually be able to fully enjoy RT games with maxed out graphics (Portal / Cyberpunk cough cough). So since that still can't be done, I don't mind waiting, although I absolutely DO want one of the 7900XTX's. I apparently have a collection or something, so now its an impulse "must have". But.....it can wait till its ~$500 ish or less on the used market. I already bought a "top dollar" GPU (as did a LOT of us). This just isn't that exciting, as great of a card as it is. Same goes for the 4000 series in my book. Yeah, the 4090 is top tier, high end performance. It's a great card, please don't get me wrong. But it even can't play 4k native res RT titles at smooth framerates, as it relies heavily on DLSS. Both launches suck so far. -_-
  19. I could be wrong to be honest. I really didn't look at the reviews all that terribly hard when I bought mine. I knew it was a ton faster than my 5700XT, so I bought one (my 6900xt). I just know the 7900XTX is just about my dream performance card for my monitor finally (other than RT performance). I'm not willing to shell out $1600, or even $1000 to get that though, so *shrugs.
  20. 600w GPU + 200w CPU + 100w for the rest of the system (typically), I mean that's 900w power draw right there before PSU efficiency (super rough estimate). We've used 1000-1500w systems in the past. It's not exactly anything new to be breaking this kind of power draw. What IS however "new", is using this much power on a single CPU / GPU system. With that said, YOUR results are one thing. You probably have a newer home, or at least an electrically sound home. Probably also not running a ton of other stuff on the same breaker (obviously or it'd pop). The fella you read about could have been in an older home or had his system on a heavily loaded circuit. Hard to say. He probably would've had the same problems had he been running an e8500 Core 2 Duo at 4GHz with 3 or 4 way SLI 8800GTX's too like we used to do 15 years ago. 600w shouldn't be popping a circuit. For that guy you read about, "welcome to enthusiast computing". I see no problems with power draw so long as we stay under 1000w or so for single CPU / GPU setups. I think its a tad much, but whatever we don't use crossfire or SLI anymore. We're getting pretty near that now with the 4090's, so hopefully Nvidia has a solution to that for next gen. Otherwise, we're going to start seeing more examples of that person you read about. US homes, typically don't have a dedicated 120v for just a single computer; nor do they have 240v like our friends across the pond which can handle a higher load like that.
  21. To be fair, the 6900XT didn't compete with the 3090 either, the results were pretty similar to what we see this gen, with the 7900XTX being in between the 4080 and 4090 in most tests. Some tests it even beat the 4090, and yes, some tests it was slightly slower than the 4080. Personally, it looks to be about the same as last gen as far as comparisons go. I do agree with you on the pricing thing. As much as I want to get one, because I really do feel like it'd be JUST ENOUGH performance finally that I'd be perfectly content at my resolution......I'm gonna pass till they hit the used market at a more affordable price. Same goes for the AM5 kit too. Nope, it can wait. I jumped on the 5800x / 6900XT, made that mistake. I'm almost, ALMOST happy with my rig's performance. I think this gen might finally do it for me. But........it can wait. I still have a lot of enjoyment to get out of my current rig anyway.
  22. Even if they were that deep man, I wouldn't judge you. This is an entirely different beast than just a regular $1600 video card, especially now that its shown to be a real auction. "Collectors cards" are definitely more valuable. How much more? Guess we'll see Dec 16th huh?
