Went thrifting again today. -_- I should've taken pictures, but I've already got everything put up. Scored the following: Sony IFC-CD815 Dream Machine CD / Radio / AUX multi alarm clock radio $21.99 Some vintage looking alarm clock (beeper only) $3.99 (for kiddo) 2 unopened packages of DVD-R's (50 and 30 packs) $4.99 ea Logitech K400r Touchpad / Wireless keyboard $4.99 And a surge protector and extension cord because why not for $1.99 ea Kind of overspent a LITTLE bit on the nicer alarm clock, but looking at ebay, seems the pricing was pretty fair anyway. Also bought on ebay (also today): AMD Phenom II x4 965BE $19.99 free ship 20g tube of MX-4 $20.50 I think it was .....for the hwbot comp.

Oh absolutely so! I'll admit, I paid to "alpha test" Beamng.drive. I'd do it again too as its a finished product (enough) as is if you consider it a sandbox driving simulator. I look at that particular title as anything extra they release for it as "free DLC" so to speak lol. HOWEVER, I bought it years and years AFTER it released in alpha stages, its been in alpha stages for 9 years now. I doubt it'll ever be a "final" game. But who knows? I've more than gotten my $20 out of it in gameplay over the years. Honestly if people (in general) would have just a LITTLE bit of patience, and wait for game reviews to come out, early testers (of the final product), and things like that, and actually READ INTO IT, we'd have a ton of less wasted money on video games and more companies that actually care to release something good. If its reviewed poorly, its probably a poor waste of money. I mean seriously, who absolutely HAS to play the latest Cowadooty on release day? Are you going to die playing last year's Battlefield another couple days while you wait for reviews? Really? I get it, people do just that....but that's kind of my point here. On the flip side, developers and publishers have gotten lazy in the internet era too. I hate to go there, but "back in my day" you could go to the store and buy a boxed CD or DVD copy of a game. You'd plop it into your computer, and it would just work. They HAD to make it a playable experience, otherwise magazines would give you a poor rating (which people read), and people on the gaming TV channels would review it poorly, things like that. DLC wasn't really a thing, but full on expansion packs were. Which, people were fine with as you got SOOOO much extra content for your money. With modern broadband internet though, they can release garbage day 1, then release a day 1 DLC and patch update that still breaks it, and then blame it on the patch. Few days later, send out another update because they promised to fix it, and the cycle continues. Mix in extra outfits and in game purchases for even more money, and you've got yourself a multi million dollar game that's still broken. But they promised to fix it, so we'll still give them more money until they do...... So I guess really, the fault is MORESO still on the developers and publishers, but honestly we can blame the customers a little bit for being impatient and wanting things now now now too. If this were reddit, I'd say everybody is the butthole here.

That's why I uploaded "updates". That way you don't HAVE to download the whole pack again that I did the first time. For you, you just need the v0.02 "update" pack I uploaded. Using the repo only adds it to your SP mods list, BeamMP has to be zip files anyway. I "could" start doing links to the repo, but then people might get confused where to put them at, or just hit subscribe and not know why its not working in multiplayer. Armored tank? Do I need to do a v0.03 already?
-
And we expect any different or better from Microsoft? I keep saying it, and I'll say it again, quit giving greedy companies money. We have nobody to blame on this but the people that keep giving these companies money that screw over the customer. I remember a certain screenshot from 2007, of people boycotting EA's Origin and BF3. On release day, everyone had a copy and were playing it. What did that tell EA? Same thing applies here with Microsoft and Halo.

Alright, here's the new mod pack! BeamMP Mod Pack v0.02 (Latest Version) And.....for those that already had the old one...... Updates: BeamMP Mod Pack v0.01 (old version) BeamMP Mod Pack Update v0.02 Server is back ONLINE!
-
Update: Added 3 new mods to the pack and 2 new maps. New (latest version) pack is uploading right now and the OP will be corrected once it is. I've also added a new "updates" section to the OP, so if you miss an update to the mods list, you can easily just grab the latest updates from the last version you had without the need to re-download the full 3+GB. Hopefully it doesn't get TOO confusing. Will have older mod packs listed under the updates section as well, for archival purposes. Also switched to google drive over OneDrive. 15GB > 5GB. That should be sufficient to host what I've got going on here, at least for a while. If the mod pack starts getting broken, for whatever reason and I have to delete stuff, it'll end up being a full re-download for everyone anyway as I'll have to update the whole pack to delete stuff. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but it can since mods. Added Mods: Dodge's Body Lift v1.0 Weird Wheel Pack v3.0 Player Weapons and Guns Added Maps: Dirty 4x4 Offroad v1.5 (Naches, WA trails) BeamNG Off Road Open Desert Trails 4096x4096 v1.8.1 Server is currently OFFLINE due to the updates. Will post an update once its back online and the DL links are live. Apologies for the delay.

Put me down for a 2TB NVME, Gen4 hopefully, and a pair of 4TB 2.5's, or whatever other cheap(er) way I can accomplish 8TB for a secondary drive for games. Kthxbai! Been waiting on SSD's for my main rig since I built it. I dunno if I can wait too much longer.....I'll end up with a whole nother build before too long. Got 2x 256GB NVME's in it now, and that's just not enough for actual gaming these days. Works great for general usage though, and the couple games I have on the SSD's at least.

It's almost that time for me to fire mine back up! I do need to make sure I don't have any further uses out of that system for the hwbot comp first. Once I'm 100% sure I'm done with the rig for that, it'll be back on folding for team rats nest!
-
Seriously though, great offer @Cerberus! Only card I'd have that I wouldn't mind parting with would be an RX 580, and those don't fold worth a darn anyway. Maybe my GTX 960 or 970? How do those do? I think I'm scheduled on the team though as an AMD card. My 290x, I won't send, its part of my collection.....and that's the card I usually fold on when the weather permits.

Wish we could talk more of these yoohoos into playing with us. It's on sale right now for 20% off on Humble Bundle.
-
I was actually having kind of a hard time getting it to load into the Cyberpunk map on the server, so swapped back to Motorsports Playground lol.
-
Updated map to Cyberpunk city map. Also bought my kiddo a copy of the game, so he can enjoy it too!
-
I haven't been providing links. Ruh roh. -_- I don't know if I feel like redoing all of those runs AGAIN, that'd be the third time and I still have other junk I've got to get benched.
-
You should join us on ExtremeHW on hwbot. There's only a few of us competing in the Team comp so far, could use all the help we can get. Welcome to EHW!
-
I'd have to check the competition list, but there's probably an AGP Nvidia part too. Definitely Skt 939 runs if its an Athlon, or an Opteron is fine on the DDR1 memory comp. There's stuff that you mentioned you could probably run if it works.

Best I could squeeze out of this horrible ALi chipset motherboard and stock cooled Radeon 7500. https://hwbot.org/submission/5071344_pioneerisloud_3dmark2001_se_radeon_7500_ddr_128bit_7240_marks

He's clearly ABOVE the Captains, didn't ya know?
-
Neat product. Looked into the older models and still $1200 ish. I'll take a $399 Steam Deck and wait sadly if I were in the market. I do hope we see more of these though, and availability start to become better so prices start coming down. My kid is starting to actually detest is Nintendo Switch, simply because he can't play his PC games on it. Love that kid.

I think that's the same thing @Bastiaan_NL was talking about earlier. Apparently we can only have one 6 core, one 8 core, one 12 core, and one 16 core run for the whole team. So if somebody on the team ran a better score than you with the same amount of cores, your score is out. I do believe they still want a certain amount of participation regardless though. So even if its a "disabled" run, its still showing participation. I think anyway. I'm still trying to learn the rules myself too.

Just submitted a new run on Stage 1 AMD GPU's. Beat my own score because why not. I know the other teams are probably sand bagging, but whatever. I'm not going to sit here and wait till the last day to make a run, and I'm probably going to get beaten anyway since I'm on air. /img/logo.png pioneerisloud`s 3DMark - Fire Strike (GPU) score: 27681 marks with a Radeon RX 580 HWBOT.ORG The 2x Radeon RX 580 @ 1466/2150MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark - Fire Strike (GPU) benchmark. pioneerisloudranks #7... I also put in 2 runs for Stage 2 AMD GPU's last night / today. Was enough to put us into 1st place. Here's best run: /img/logo.png pioneerisloud`s 3DMark Vantage - Performance (GPU) score: 9444 marks with a Radeon HD 4850 GDDR3 HWBOT.ORG The Radeon HD 4850 GDDR3 @ 760/1233MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark Vantage - Performance (GPU)... I tried and tried to beat my Stage 3 run, and nothing I did got me any better, actually scores were consistently worse. So I've done best I can do there. The above 2 are also my best runs I can do. CPU won't go any higher than 5030MHz, I can't tighten RAM down much better at this speed, and those GPU's were nearly unstable at those settings. One more MHz on core or memory and they'd crash. Updated the spreadsheet too.

Glad you got things sorted out @schuck6566. I was finally able to get cable again not too long ago, 300 / 10. I hear you on the ACP thing, I use that to get my Verizon cell service for free. Look into Visible, and look into LTE routers. Also look into TTL settings. I can't say much more than that, as they technically frown upon it (although its not illegal since businesses use those types of things). There's also AT&T and T Mobile options too for high data caps / unlimited. With as often as my Spectrum goes down, I'm happy to have a backup ISP, dedicated VPN, and dedicated ad blocker right at my gateway. 400 down / 40 up is pretty decent service though. I think Spectrum offers a similar package, but here its $80 / month. The one I'm on is only $50. I could certainly use the upload speed, but since nobody that's using my upload helps pay for the connection, they can deal with slower speeds.

You're making me want to do stupid things in the name of racing pixels here Flux....... Yeah, selling water-blocked cards is a tough sell unless you find the absolute PERFECT buyer. Sucks, but its part of the game of water cooling I guess. Looking forward to seeing how this all turns out!

2500u is ryzen with Vega. It's still ddr4, just sodimm instead of regular dimm because laptop. Think like a 2200g but in a laptop. I think mine does 3.6ghz cpu, dunno if the gpu overclocks, never really needed to lol.
-
Looks like we already have a 5600g ran in that category. Won't that run cancel out mine? Mine would still be ddr4, just a lot slower lol.
