What games are you playing now?

Probably not in the same vein of the type of game you're looking for but Cuphead or It Takes Two?

I'll certainly check into them anyway. 🙂  Co-op games are apparently my style games lol.

EDIT:
Those both actually look kind of neat.  Cuphead reminds me of something similar to SNES Donkey Kong Country.  2D, classic animation, looks almost like a platformer?  And It Takes Two, that looks like a very ummm, interesting story line.  Put them on my watch list, might pick up on payday.  TY for the suggestion!

Why not update again with you guys? 🙂

I've played so far, HL1-2, Doom (old ones), Quake 1, and now working on Halo series currently.  All co-op.  Any other games that are legendary that I might've missed over the years that are now co-op friendly?

Was trying to figure out the Elder Scrolls series, but apparently co-op specific mods never really gained full traction.  Crysis series co-op fell flat on its face in like 2007 / 2008, so that probably doesn't work either.  Didn't find any Quake 2 or 4 co-op mods, but the OG Quake was great anyway.  I dunno what all games I've missed over the years even.  Before this latest run, the only games I'd ever played to completion were Mafia II and the entire Portal series.  Finding new co-op mods has really opened me up to a lot more games I'd have never touched before.

TLDR:  I need moar co-op game ideas! :wheee:

Couch, LAN, or Internet co-op? Genre?

Portal 2 (re-read and saw you listed the Portal series), Left 4 Dead 2

I feel like I should make a thread about this lol.  This could get to be a long list and might be useful all in one spot.  Wouldn't be applicable since I'm not playing them all right now. 😕

I just started A Plague Tale on game pass. Very cinematic game. Haven't gotten far yet but seems cool for a highly narrative game.

i've been rotating through the following:

APB Reloaded (yes i know this game should die already, but killing people by letting my car ghost ride over them never gets old)

State of Decay 2 (i'm running a long-term survivor group, currently 6 maps cleared working on long-term plans to stay on current map)

Halo Master Chief Collection (currently part way through halo 1 in original 2001 graphics mode for nostalgia)

Forza Horizon 4 (yes with a wheel and shifter setup, just recently purchased)

Deathloop (its an amusing game, but not what i call AAA material, thank god it was a gift)

Control Ultimate Edition (attempting full 100% achievement completion, main storyline finished to its end with DLC)

Horizon Zero Dawn (interesting combat and storyline, not to mention very pretty graphics wise))

DayZ (both standalone and dayz arma 2 mod, i care less which)

if anybody want to join me in the games that are co-op on this list, ill gladly play with you. add my discord. if you need it because it unlisted from my profile on here again, DM me.

Horizon zero dawn is definitely a fun SP game. The audio is really good too, it made my surround sound system feel worth having.

I actually started playing Skyrim again. Finally got enchanting maxed out and now I can double enchant stuff.

For those playing modded, be sure to create a backup. Also helps to have a backup of a clean install. And then be sure to disable automatic updates and always launch via SKSE or something that's not Steam.

Anniversary Edition is going to overwrite it and break everything instead of being its own install.

Anyone play BF2042 yet? I bought it on steam but just the normal edition so it's not out yet for me, but there is a 10 hour trial on game pass that you can play now so I've been playing that. I played El Alamein from BF1942 and it was amazing. Seeing the B-17 fly over and bomb stuff is so awesome, just like it was when I was a kid. I played the normal game a bit which is cool too, haven't spent a lot of time on it yet.

I really hope they add more BF1942 content over time. It's kind of amazing that a game with so many options is coming from EA.

Woman falls ill after exposure to monkeys at Pennsylvania crash site (search the web for it)

In a news flash from Umbrella Corporation, people in rural Danville, PA started becoming violently ill after a local woman was hospitalized for exposure to escaped cynomolgus lab test monkeys at a Pennsylvania truck crash site. Meanwhile, more and more of the local population appear to be getting ill at an alarming rate, with reports of a number of them possibly even dying and turning into what some are calling brain-eating zombies.

When asked, Chief Chester B. Snodgrass of the local Constabulary was quoted as stating, "Daaayuumnnnnn, they came out of nowhere, mindlessly shouting 'BRAINS'; and the only things that seem to stop them is a bullet to the head, or cleaving their heads clean off from the neck up."

"You definitely don't want to get bit by these things

Elsewhere, Governor T. Wolf was said to be calling in the State's National Guard, as observation helicopters could be seen circling the local area high above. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) was also said to be sending in a rapid response team to evaluate the situation and establish a plan to combat it.

Even though I have a huge backlog of single player games, I usually just hop on Genshin Impact for a few minutes every day.

On the weekends I try and get together with a group of friends. Typically CoD MW or Halo Infinite since those are crossplay and a lot of my friends from back home just have consoles.

One of my good friends asked me to join their Destiny 2 team this past weekend. I'm about 9 hours in and have a ton of catching up to do before I'll be very helpful to them lol.

A man after my own heart. Quake 2 RTX and UT2004. I have played through Quake and Quake 2 at least a dozen times each since they were initially released. Then Quake 2 RTX just made it even more awesome and I think I have played through it twice so far. These are the games that make you feel like a badass even when you're not, LOL. The only games that are equally legendary and addictive are those in the Crysis, Wolfenstein and Doom franchises. I never get tired of them because they are run and gun fragfest on steroids. No complicated story to interfere with the havock and mayhem. My favorite way to play.
