do to the obscurity, I thought this new z820 rig would bag a few wins, however, this many wins was unexpected. I'm downloading benchmate for my z820 rig right now. That has some very rare chips under the hood.

@damric exploding GPUs are my specialty, my 8800GT went RIP today and wont 3D mode anymore. its now a wall hanging ornament .

I bet you can get more out of your M2000 if you push it a little. It also likes memory clocks, that's worth 1.5k points on the last submission..

It's a bit unfair with the physics though

Thanks J, this is just for fun though. I think Luke started it with his M2000, the Pook had one too and crushed his scores. Avacado made me buy one too so we could make this an ExtremeHW party.
I might be a step ahead now though, as there are a few things soldered to the back of my card

Just curious, how much did you guys pay for your M2000s? I paid about $150 on ebay but it was before the price collapse.

 

I'm very curious about M4000 and M5000 now.

I paid $129 for the M2000. The M4000's were about $400 for the pair last November. The M5000 is just stupid expensive. And the M6000, just don't even look....

 

The problem is these cards serve no real practical use in 2022. The majority of them have minimal results on HWbot, so the expense isn't worth the points. I just so happen to love Quadro's and Tesla's.

the core already wasn't 100% finishing benchmarks at the clocks I was running. I could play with LOD but it's not going to be enough to climb any places.

I recall fond memories of wading through warmer sections of public swimming pools I used to frequent as a kid, while being surrounded by mysterious yellow clouds. Is that the kind of warm place you mean?

...I was wondering about old hardware for Cloudgate and was going to recommend you use some 780 Tis...'when I was young', we used hopped up EVBot 780 Ti Classies...

 

 

Quick related question: How do you get Cloudgate to run these days (I want to try my RTX and RDNA2 cards...) ? My 3DMark apps have all updated to the latest versions that don't offer Cloudgate anymore

They do, you have to click the legacy "Unsupported" option. 

 

 

3D Mark 11 and older is now free and all versions can be found HERE if you are needed them.

Since you guys liked the M2000, you can get similar huge overclocks with the W2100 and W4100 GCN based Firepro and they are cheap asf on ebay.

...Cloudgate = blast from the past ! The 6900XT (stock clocks) results are held back a bit by the 3950X (so the AMD GPU insisted that I insert one of its better Time Spy runs, for its honour ). The 3090 run below which was also at stock PL / clocks would be at # 70 at 3DM HoF already. I won't try for more though via oc'ing as both cards hit 1600 FPS  - I normally restrict the 3090 to 300 FPS as some game menus can go FPS-berserk.

 

...I also found my old Steam-based 3DMark 11; s.th. to play with later for a GPU ambient benchie thread I'm thinking about. I still have a couple of GTX 780 Ti / 980 Classies and EVbot I could torture just a bit more

The high end cards are held back for sure, as my 3090 was maxing out at 360W with a 620W power limit

 

Your TS score beats mine, though I don't have permission from @Avacado to start soldering on my 3090
I'm not too afraid of those high FPS numbers (famous last words). I'm using the Rev 1.0 card now which seems to be a better working card as far as power distribution goes.

Very nice ! But for now, I'm sticking to stock clocks and PL - 1600 FPS is nuts already  ...I remember RTX3K cards blowing up in menu via 'Amazon's New World' but may be I'll change my mind later and oc the crap out of the 3090

 

...best laid plans...moved up a few slots but decent 3090 GPU & VRAM clocks can't make up for 12900K at 5400 MHz...and my Unify-X board hasn't got a CPU or DDR5 yet  (waiting for at least Raptor Lake; mobo still in sealed box) 

 

 

 

@Bastiaan_NL ...can you try to run your two 3090s in SLI/NVLink for Superpostion 8K Optimized ? My 11998 run is three years old and there are 3090 / 3090 Ti at HWBot Superpos8K per below/ left, but I don't think I have seen a 2x RTX3k... Wondering whether 2x RTX NVL only worked w/ RTX2k for this bench. AFAIK, overall record is 4x 1080 Ti

Well I can't say I'm too particularly fold of too many brands, but I generally do choose SuperFlower PSUs ever since my first Rosewill Capstone because they generally have good performance per price value and solid ripple suppression for overclocking. I generally hate Corsair anything, but especially their RAM lol.
