Really don't need bdie. won't be taking it higher. I bought these to test if it was the board, and it is. 

 

I've got an ASUS z390-a I can try out.

 

I much prefer Asus (and even MSI) bios over Gigabyte, but on my Gigabyte Z170 SOC Force w/ 6700K ES, I had similar troubles at first. Eventually, I got the 4x4 RAM up to 4133 + -. The fix had s.th. to do with default/auto-interleaving in the bios / memory segment (can't quite remember). Another issue was that it would reboot into bios #2 if bios F5 type default if bios #1 had a setting 'too far'. There was a switch to disable that automatic bios swap though. Btw, that Z170 SOC Force is a great mobo for oc'ing, it can even accept a 9000k w/ a minor mod and available custom bios.

So hunch was right. ASUS board, booted right up.  Looks like the GIGA board is going to fleabay.

Alright. Moved the 3 660Ti's over to the test bench to troubleshoot the failing SLI. Turns out one of them was indeed defective. So I put the other 2 on water, dialed in the OC's and am hitting it. Good enough for a WR in Cloudgate so far.

Finally eclipsed Numba wan for the season. I should be able to take home gold by the end of the year unless someone comes out of no where with LN2 or someone's hardware into the novice league. I still have the 760,770 classy ,780 classy ,780Ti Kingpin and 680 classy coming to bench with. I will start to pick up the 900 series cards when all of the former have been benched. My goal is to hit >1k points by the end of the year.

 

I really could use some more support on the HWBot team if anyone is game. Willing to put in the time to help or maybe lend some hardware

The great thing about benching older cards on the 3Dmarks is that you get so many extra points for physics with the modern CPUs. It really pads the score. They should really change the rules to just the graphics score but if/until then, run those points up!

As you might have seen @Avacado I'm trying to figure out some things and post some scores, at least I'm #1 in the Netherlands (which doesn't mean much ).

I've got a lot to learn though, but I'm trying.. I'd like to buy an older GPU which could help me with that (a lot of submissions to beat), but I don't know which one and don't want to spend too much as I've got an active F@H farm too.

Well whatever you do decide to get, I recommend a Classified or Kingpin model. After Jerry rigging a waterblock on the 780 Classified last night, I took the number 2 spot in Cloudgate on the first run.
