Grateful I get the honor of hosting the very first benchmark comp on this forum! Just run a quick bench with CPUz and if we get enough interest, I will start a leader board.

Go ahead and follow the outline and layout below. Feel free to include additional information about your system/OC

You can compete for single core or all core or both.

Here's my main rig.

Ryzen 3600 using PBO @ ~4.15GHz all core ish
32GB 2x16 DDR4-3733 with IF @ 1:1 at 1866

I can get some runs with old gear here in the next few weeks too.  Going to have all the way down to a 1.1GHz Athlon ready here soon, if this competition gets good I'll bench all of them. 馃檪

Damn I didn't realize the single threaded performance for Ryzen 5000 was that much higher than 3000.

First version of the leaderboard is up. I also have two z820s to throw in the mix maybe I will fire them up tomorrow. I coded the teams, obviously intel is blue and AMD is red. And any other red or highlighted option indicates an exceptional result.

Does leaving the e cores active yield lower benchmark scores here? I know that was happening in the ycruncher/punisher thread

Creates more heat, limits overall Perf core OC headroom. Ill activate them and try for the multi.

Can't compete with a 32 core. This is 5.4GHz perf all core with 4.3GHz E all core. SP 85 chip, not a golden sample, but not crap either.

I'm wondering if a lot of that is clock speed moreso than actual IPC increases.  Ryzen 5000 is definitely faster, but I think that large margin on single core is due to my relatively low clock speeds for Ryzen, and the other's relatively good / great clock speeds.

Certainly a combination of IPC and the fact the 5000 series can be pushed further, especially with the IF.

EDIT: Ok, just a quick and dirty 4.5GHz OC for this one. Looks like with the OC my Single Core is matching @pioneerisloud R5 3600. Obviously multi-core anything newer blows it away. I'll have to play around with some voltages, was not stable at 4.6GHz on 1.25v with the quick and dirty OC. I honestly haven't really bothered OCing past that before to be honest (heresy here I am sure). 馃槅

EDIT 2: Oh and is under water, so temps were fine and all cores synced. Other hardware is in the rig builder.

Alright alright, I'll go ahead and run another rig. :wheee:

FX 8350 @ 4.8GHz (this is my 24/7 stable OC)

4x4GB DDR3-1600 @ 1750, 9-10-9-28-2T

NB and HT @ 2.63GHz

I've still got older stuff I can pull out with stable overclocks.  I MIGHT also be able to get some suicide runs in, but I've got like 4 rigs I'm building this month......sooooooo maybe not. :lachen:

cpuz.jpg.f40f023a4397b5358ab8203f2235c217.jpg

EDIT:
Okay, so this is ALREADY in last place.  So I won't bother with anything older unless somebody can get a worse score than this and bump me up out of last place.

Nice. Is that 4.8Ghz across all cores or only on a particular CCX ? What V-core are you running per chance ?

...4.8 Ghz across all cores / both CCX / SMT on. V-Core was 1.3625v afair (my limit on water), ambient was about 17 C, mobo is the Asus Dark Hero w/ PBO, OC3, fMax and DynamicOC enabled.  I've never done CO curves, CTR, or Hydra on this chip, but it is a good sample, with 4.8 GHz the most I could get out of the weaker CCX at that voltage. HWInfo excerpt shows per-core (obviously not all at the same time). I know I broke 700 CPU-Z single core but can't find the screenie right now.

That is nice. Im on water but don't think I can push the V-Core that high as super high loads or sudden load peak will easily kick temps up to 85c + ...I mean that is no huge deal I suppose.

My all core OC doesn't have anything like PBO Enabled as I figured it was best to leave PBO off and remove it as a factor when going manual OC.
