Notes to self:

2. Always stock spare grenades under the driver's seat within easy reach.

This sounds like a job for Ambassador Pineapple.

I'm a bit late here, but having lived in that area and knowing how those streets are... I'm amazed there aren't more accidents like this... I lived on the north side of town on Merrimon and man I can tell you getting around could be a nightmare at times back in the late 90's... I usually stuck to side streets when possible...

Yea. Downtown is crazy. I always take the back roads unless I have to go another way. Friday, i had to go another way =/

So yea, it happened again tonight. Crazy thing is that the officer that responded is a patient of mine. When I left the scene he was doing a field sobriety test on her. You can't hear the clicking over the music, but I did have my indicator on. She was also about 8 feet past the stop sign she had. Puritans have at it 😛

That almost happens to me on a regular basis while turning onto the street I live on.  I'll have my signal on, but they'll still start to pull out right when I get in front of them as I'm making the turn.

You didn't do anything wrong. She was pulled way far out, you can see that at the start...and why she'd start going with a car directly in front of her...

Yeah I'd be curious if under the influence or just dumb.

I take that same turn everyday coming home from work, about half the time people are jetted out into the intersection like that. Honestly, I think she just looked left and started to go. Thanks everyone! I opened a revolving VIP account with my autobody shop.

Watched it a few more times and I have come to this conclusion:

You need these cameras on all sides and the rear and maybe one pointed up towards the sky just in case.

Jesus Christ. That's rough. I got ejected from a windshield when I was 11. Suffered a pretty large TBI that still effects me to this day. I hope the brain CT/MRI comes back normal for her. Really sorry to hear that Bonami.

I'd honestly say it was 10% you for driving too fast for the conditions, 90% the other driver for pulling out when it was clear there was car coming in the other direction. It's pretty rare for a crash not to be the fault of everyone involved if both/all cars are moving. But it's the majority of the blame is rarely going to go to more than one driver.

The speed limits these days are stupid. They made sense in the 70s/80s. Cars are significantly quicker these days. You can get a Toyota these days that can accelerate as quickly as a Ferrari F430. But there is a time and a place to go over the limit.

Not sure how it works there but here any accidents involving someone making a left turn at an intersection, it's 100% the person's turning fault. I know cause I totaled my car doing just that 4 years ago. Other driver was likely distracted or speeding but that didn't matter. Then again our insurance just sucks balls here.

Just saw the second crash. lol I'm waiting to see the third video since bad things come in threes. Not sure what that person was thinking, you had the right of way not her.
