Thanks for putting up prizes. I wasn't expecting to win anything but it's definitely appreciated (and will go right back into acquiring more hardware)

No problem at all, enjoy it 👍
There is always a chance to win, even with one sub!

You guys all did pretty great, and made a great showing for the first time competing in a team wide comp.  :applaud::cheers::applaud:

No problem tictoc.
Thanks, we did what we could and the bar was set pretty high by ourselves. Yet we were still able to meet that goal, which was a sub in every benchmark.

Onto the next one....

Nope. You can create it if you choose. I am not participating in the Country Cup. I tried to integrate with the US OC team, but they are more a group of close friends that do sub-ambient cooling rather than a team that welcomes new comers or is warm to helping. I felt completely out of place on their discord. I never got the impression that they had "time" to nurture or welcome new comers to their clique and that is really sad.

Well, from what I've gathered about the Country Cup, and I could be wrong, its more or less just a free for all.  You bench what you bench.  Everybody is your rival kinda thing.  It's about being the best IN your country (and of course bringing your own country points).  So yeah, there's not nearly the teamwork like we saw with the Team Cup.  If they wanted to actually win, they'd be more inclusive with newcomers because points are points.  Either way, yeah its more about the extreme overclocking, not so much about "running what you've got on hand" like Cheap Chips or the Team Cup.

This is not true. It is a country cup, there are no individual winners. Either your country wins or it doesn't. In order to accomplish this you will need to work together to get all the required subs in each round just like we did in the team cup. Agree with you on the second part of your paragraph, it is indeed sad. I really was turned off by the vibe that they put out.

I should've clarified I suppose.  You're right, the RULES are that its a team competition between countries, yes.  The VIBE I get off it though is that everybody is your rival regardless.

Sounds good to me.  Any one have any idea's.  I was thinking about this on the drive home from my anual check up.

How about a comp for who can make their system run the slowest lol 😛 and the FASTEST-IST... all in one category.:angry_cursing:

An internal comp sounds great, though we might have to set some strict rules or choose a specific benchmark to not favor the expensive hardware some of us own.
Also, even though the Netherlands isn't that big and I 'know' two other benchers over here I really don't care much about the Country Cup. We as EHW are a team and that's why it was so much fun with the Team Cup.

Put it this way, im happy to put in prizing for a Bi-Annual event. If you chaps want to get together and put together what an internal EHW HWBOT comp could look like, im game for reviewing it with a view to making it happen:)

Thank you for the support!

I am down to help in anyway I can for some sort of internal event, though I would like to see @Bastiaan_NL take lead on it. He is the google sheets master and is an excellent choice for choosing benchmarks and making it fair. Plus he's already a HWbot team captain 😛

I would second @Bastiaan_NL to take lead.

I would also like to make a suggestion, since @N2 Gaming brought it up.  Slowest and fastest both, that sounds interesting.  How about an option similar to the "cheap chips" comp on hwbot.  Something that we could enter into for say under $50 in used hardware, or junk laying around most of us already have or something?  Doesn't matter if its GPU or CPU, whatever, I'm down for it.  But running "slow" gear always intrigues me.  For example, say I dunno, a "dual core" competition, whoever can get the "lowest" score wins, but maybe specify desktops only or something?  Maybe the "highest performing" dual core too?  And then something too with modern stuff. 🙂

My 5800x / 6900XT is also down for at least attempting to compete on the higher end too. 😛

or just remove the hardware requirement entirely and just go by HWBOT points. set a week or month long period and winner = whoever submits the most points during that time frame. use whatever hardware you want.
