If you happen to have an AM3+ setup (FX), we could REALLY use the pair of wicked high clocking 290's to join up with my RX 580's and Bastain's 590's.  Link below for the rules on that particular bench.

HWBOT is a site dedicated to overclocking. We promote overclocking achievements and competitions for professionals as well as...

Ebay sells some IDE to SATA converters that'll get you going with a SSD no problem on Socket 754. 🙂  Just an example is linked below, but they're regularly under like $9 or so shipped.

❤️ Converts Parallel ATA (PATA, ATA, IDE) to Serial ATA (SATA). ❤️ Features one SATA port, one PATA port (40-pin IDE), and one 4-pin...

Nice, I need to get me one of those converters asap so I can give that theory from @Avacado a try 🤔

Notice how it was 9PM when I set out to bench this and it's now almost 5AM... Oh well end result is that we are winning this category

Thank you @Fluxmaven!
And if you are planning to do another run for fun, the biggest bottleneck for me was CPU clock 🙂

Ok I got the two gtx460's running in SLI but I can see little to no usage on the second gpu while monitoring them in Afterburner as well as in Heaven.  I get the same score in sli or non sli mode 😕  Don't know what's going on.

Stupid question, but was it showing as 'SLI enabled' in nvidia control panel?
I had mine running pretty good on a 4770k with a bit of an overclock and it was loading both cards. If you need live help or whatever hop on discord, usually I'm there with @Avacado as much as we can so you can always ask questions there (and some other guys too). I hope you can get it working so you can battle it out with @Fluxmaven 😄

We need you @tictoc, you can check the spreadsheet in the OP for basic info and links to the benchmarks. I bet you know how it works 👊

And that's a 1000 points

IT was the driver.  I had tried to oc the cpu to 3.5Ghz and fubar'd the bios to the point I had to pull the battery to do a really hard bios reset.  Got it back up and running at stock but once the bios reset it defaulted and I did not check every little setting.  So my theory on why sli was scoring so low is because after I reset the bios and got back into windows the os installed the hybrid sli driver for the onboard Nvidia card built into the mobo. MSI NF980-G65 So I had to go back into the bios, disable the setting for hybrid sli then install new drivers and then I saw both gpu's chugging along.  To get the the point where the HWBot heaven did not want to work for some reason.  I called it a night  and went fishing the following day.  Spent yesterday recovering from a get together with a couple of neighbors after fishing saturday evening and log in to discover what appears like the sli 460's won't be needed on my part.  Is that correct?
Try using full screen mode instead of windowed mode
I'll have to try that and see if it improves the score I was getting in Heaven.  Still have to figure out why HWBots's heaven software was not wanting to load up.  The basic is the one that would not work for some reason.

As far as your run goes, if you can beat @Fluxmaven your score will be on the board. His run is not done IIRC so you have time to beat him to it 😄 (but the highest wins)

That was for the AM3+/ AMD GDDR5 benchcmarks.

Are we allowed to run the HWBot Heaven Xtreme DX11?  Any time I try to use the Basic DX09 the Heaven app hangs and does the Not Responding thing.  I get better score with Xtreme DX11 too, go figure.

Sadly that's a no, the rules are pretty strict. Are you sure every bit of software is installed correctly? I mean, DX11 should be backwards compatible with DX9 but it's weird that it runs one of the two..

That seems like a good run, did you save it with the heaven "make screenshot" button?
And what was your max core clock?
Anyways, nice work 🙂

Looks great! As bastiaan said, you'll need to click "Make a screenshot" then save the file. When you go to upload your results, it will ask you for the data file and it will include the screenie of your run for you.

I just saved that screen shot.  Need to figure out how to save the heaven score.  I overclocked the GPU core by 20Mhx LOL  Just baby steps to see what it can do before it freezes up.  Time to put the side of my case back on and see if I can do any better 😉

Edit:  Ok Let me go back and make a screen shot from clicking on that link to make it official 🙂  I'm wondering how much better my score can get???

I'm about to pull the FX+Crossfire 7970 combo off the bench and put a 2700k+460s back on. I don't have a run submitted yet because I'm waiting on an SLI bridge that fits. The one I tried breaking half the connectors off to fit surprisingly didn't work. 🤣

So by all means, keep tweaking and pushing your setup. If I get mine working I'll have to play catch up to see if I can run you down. It will be nice going up against someone with the same cards.

My poor 7970 run is going to get slaughtered when @tictoc shows up with those 290s

You don't need to submit 3 scores. You can submit as many or as few as you like. It just keeps your best score.

The team needs 3 scores to average. So currently it's still just showing the runs Avacado and Bastiaan did with 470 and 480s. Once you submit your score it will fulfill the requirements of the competition. From that point you can keep pushing the limit and submit higher scores but It wouldn't hurt to submit what you have now just to get something on the board while you experiment with the hardware.

I've hit a wall at 2873 points and best I can get is with my GPU core clocks at 850MHz with stock Vram settings of 1800Mhz.  I think if the 290's make a run the 460's will fall off any way so yeah moot point after 490's are in play.

The 290s have nothing to do with the SLI category. Those are in the AMD category. I just mentioned them as an example of how someone could come along and knock your score out. Most of the people here are participating in multiple categories with different hardware. I'm going to be coming after you with 460s. Mine are waterblocked like everything I own, but one is a mystery card I just bought on eBay. So if it's a total dud overclocker your score will still be the one that counts for the team.

Either way we're just doing this for fun.

HWBot does not like me 😞

You can't type the full name in. You need to type a part of it and select the name as close as it is to your components that it gives you.

1st block just type Phenom and try to find it from the drop down cpus it lists.

2nd block just type GTX 460. The vendor and model are below it.
