I have a HVAC controlled basement, approx 24U of rack space, 8 pci-e x16 slots, and two wire shelves.

 

I'm willing to host peoples machines/cards for free (donations are nice)

 

includes power and free 24/7 teamviewer access

 

I'll set up the OS (probably ubuntu) and fold under your name.

 

 

I also completely understand if you think i'm batshit, but I want to keep our point production at least 50m a day.

well, i also have two more gangs in my fuse box, my power company has a hard cap at $250/mo (pre existing covid crap)

 

i'd say hard limitation would be ~5000w  (i'd need psus)

Seriously though, great offer @Cerberus!  Only card I'd have that I wouldn't mind parting with would be an RX 580, and those don't fold worth a darn anyway.  Maybe my GTX 960 or 970?  How do those do?  I think I'm scheduled on the team though as an AMD card.  My 290x, I won't send, its part of my collection.....and that's the card I usually fold on when the weather permits.

you have my respect... if for whatever reason I end up with an extra gpu I'll contact you... I just gave my only extra 5700xt to my sons friend who was still running an old 970.

ideally i'd like to only run things that would do 500k ppd or more, if it gets crowded enough, i'll send back the owners 'lowest' card.

Is noise an issue? I have a Quadro P4000 being underutilized in my Plex server that I could send over, but if you put a real load on it, the single slot fan can get really annoying.

I'm not using it; PM me and let me know where to send it. I'm pretty sure you'll get at least 500K (if not 700K+) PPD out of it, when you've got time to get to it.

Im rebuilding it. With a view to running it at work hopefully. Too hot to run at home lol
