What kind of cable do you need? If the pinouts and any connectors I don't have on hand are available, I might be able to make you one.

I'll DM you the details and can take more pics if you need it. There is no specific manual for the key it's self, but it's in the user manual. Looks to be a 10-1 Pin cable.

My current ones have been in use since January 2020 with the rig on 24/7. When I try to set them to white now, they are no longer bright white but all yellowish. These are really good light strips but needed to be replaced. They should be here Tuesday.

Went thrifting again. -_-

Why does the dang speaker area ALWAYS catch me?

Scored these Sony 2.1's for cheap, all 3 for $25 I think it was.  The sub sounds fine, honestly quite good even.  The satellites are VERY tinny and bright and don't take very much power at all.....but they also sound "fine" for the use.  The idea is to grab a cheap 2.1 desktop amp from like Lepai or something, and use these as a 2.1 PC speaker set. 🙂
20231015_195331.thumb.jpg.185894f1966480f90d4d87419128f564.jpg

And then I also scored this shelf system.  $15.  I always wanted one of these, they were absolutely amazing shelf systems in the year 2000, and now I have one. 🙂  It's capable of 50w x2 according to spec, and it legitimately does bi-amp the speakers.  The 5 disc CD changer works, the tape deck works, and there wasn't a spec of dust I could find anywhere in just playing around with it.  Probably going to use this shelf system in replacement of my soundbar on an older TV perhaps or something.  Could also hook up a subwoofer to it for 2.1.  Idk, I don't regret it, but not sure what to do with it yet LOL.

they got popular and doubled in price to ~$50 so they really aren't worthwhile anymore. Kinter K3118 is a clone and is ~$20 on Amazon.

$50 for a Lepai when you can get an Allo Volt+ $69 is a crime 🙃

$39 looks like for the 2.1 version I think.  The $20 Kinter looks like its just 2 channels?  That is still cheaper than the Lepai 2.1, its $46.99 at parts express.  Lepai 2.1 has a crossover knob, the Kinter doesn't.  Interesting..........I might pick one of those Kinter amps up, hadn't thought about the amp portion too much yet.  TY for the suggestion! 🙂

That's a nice pickup! My parents have a Sharp CD-BH950 with a CD changer that ate dirt. They don't really care enough to do anything about it, and I wasn't sure what to replace it with if there ever is a desire to replace it, but $250 for another one of those Sharp systems is not something I would personally consider.

I haven't done a CD-RW in nearly a decade, a pressed CD (a hard-to-find single that I couldn't find for download anywhere) in about a decade that I promptly ripped to FLAC/MP3, and last messed with cassette tapes when the years started with 19-. Even though I have the means to do so, I have no interest in digitizing their physical music collection. If they had a sense of humor, that would be their definition of a fool's errand.

Okay I didn't take a picture yet, I already put it up for now till I can order some banana plugs for it.  BUT........I absolutely SCORED today at the thrift store, seriously.  Denon AVR-1620 7.1 channel (+ extra 2 channels of pre-outs), capable of either 7.1 channel surround or maybe a make-shift Atmos type thing (front "height" speakers are allowed).  Also has HDMI ARC (and optical), which I needed either of those inputs to use on my big screen.  My older Pioneer receiver score is analogue only, so couldn't ever use it on the big screen.  Scored it for $19.99 + tax at the thrift store today.  They were JUST putting it out on the shelf.  🙂

I'll snap pictures later if anyone actually cares.  But this is awesome, now I can do surround sound on my 70" 4k TV.  :wheee:

Grabbed a couple "toys" yesterday. Nerd alert, watch out...

  1. Wireless mechanical keyboard from 8bitdo, reminiscent of a classic NES. https://www.8bitdo.com/retro-mechanical-keyboard/ Comes with an extra pad with two, giant reprogrammable buttons. I've had this in my cart for a while but it's always been sold out and was scalped. It's very niche and likely wont replace my default keyboard that I use for work (TBD) but great for when I use the TV. I would just use a wireless mouse with accessibility controls (onscreen keyboard) to navigate my PC on the TV....
  2. A used Quest 2 from a co-worker. They let me try it before buying it and will set it to me for about 100 USD... since they were getting a Quest 3. Couldn't skip on that. My first trying a VR headset. I was shocked the first time I put it on. I only tried Beat Saber and Puzzling Places but honestly, it was super fun. I was impressed how "immersed" I was. Curious how RE4 VR plays and more importantly, trying Steam VR on it with my system.

I spent another hour or so with it tonight playing games from their account. I tried Walking Dead. Honestly, those first moments when holster your weapon, chamber the round, pull an axe off your back, use two hands to duel wield, pull a screwdriver out of a zombies head... I did not expect it to feel as good as it does.

SLICKDEALS.NET

- Cup compartments can be removed as needed to accommodate tools - Features clear lid, anti-rust metal latch and integrated handle - Stackable with similar units for easy storage and transport https:

^I like them and have had at least one for a few years now (found them via Slick Deals). They're great for small part storage if you don't have the room for a wall full of bins.

My car threw a check engine light for the first time, so picked up an OBDII scanner. Just passed 130k miles so not sure what's going on. Car still feels, sounds, smells fine.

I have not.

Sounds like my old car.

So I hooked it up and got P0172 System Too Rich

Picked up another engine air filter in case the old one had an issue or something and cleared the code. Will go from there.
