@iamjanco Kind of hoping you had some things buried deep in a closet somewhere. Old farts have old tech. Bust it out boomer.

@J7SC_Orion I know you got out of the XOC game, but is there anything you might be able to help with? Please?

@tictoc I know you have been crazy busy with work, but I also know you have some godly tech.

@jpmboyThis tag is a SUPER stretch, but if you are reading this, please come to the dark side and aid us!

@Mr. Fox Ditch Premamod and come get some EHW lovin 🤣

@BWGI know you have a 2080Ti lying around, we needs it, the precious.

@firedfly Same for you sir, do you have a 2080Ti or 2080 laying about?

I have a 960, 1660 and several 3000 series cards.  However, I also have 0 free time right now to help out (if any of that hardware helps).

That 960 might help. The 1660 might help too for the PCI-e 3.0 GPU category. I understand the time constraints. There is 2 months left before the end, but if you still don't have the time I completely understand and thank you for checking.

lol, I've come out of many closets in many different places over the years, but outside of my relatively recent projects, had to give up hoarding when i became a wandering monk in the lands that time forgot.

(if it can't fit in a shopping cart, i can't take it with me 😘   )

but I do have one of the following that I could try before time runs out or i move on to a higher plane or the current contest ends:

Good morning E, the screenshot needs some work.

You need CPUZ: CPU, Mem, Mainboard and as many SPD windows as you have mem sticks with the right stick selected.

The screenshot needs to be full size, not cropped.
Other than that it's a nice score! 🙂

Next week I should be able to get my own 16core result in with the 3950x.

Happy to help 🙂
If you still have the proper screenshot you can edit the result, if not you'll have to rerun it and submit again.

[edit] You can always hit me or @Avacado up on discord and ask if the screenshot is correct before subbing, usually you'll have an answer in no time and it'll save you the trouble of doing a rerun.

There are some benchmarks that require a non-cropped whole desktop screenshot with all required proof within. Others require a save file of some sort. In general, the are only ever 2 screenshots. 1 with your run and accompanying CPUz/GPUz tabs and a picture of your running rig. Most of the benchmarks require a validation link either from 3D Mark or CPUz. But as Bastiaan said, just hit us up.

Just submitted a new run on Stage 1 AMD GPU's.  Beat my own score because why not.  I know the other teams are probably sand bagging, but whatever.  I'm not going to sit here and wait till the last day to make a run, and I'm probably going to get beaten anyway since I'm on air. 🙂

HWBOT.ORG

The 2x Radeon RX 580 @ 1466/2150MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark - Fire Strike (GPU) benchmark. pioneerisloudranks #7...

I also put in 2 runs for Stage 2 AMD GPU's last night / today.  Was enough to put us into 1st place.  Here's best run:

HWBOT.ORG

The Radeon HD 4850 GDDR3 @ 760/1233MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark Vantage - Performance (GPU)...

I tried and tried to beat my Stage 3 run, and nothing I did got me any better, actually scores were consistently worse.  So I've done best I can do there.  The above 2 are also my best runs I can do.  CPU won't go any higher than 5030MHz, I can't tighten RAM down much better at this speed, and those GPU's were nearly unstable at those settings.  One more MHz on core or memory and they'd crash. 🙂

Updated the spreadsheet too.

Updated my results on HWBOT to add in the full screenshot inclusive of the CPU-Z. I did not include the SPD of each memory as A. I forgot and B. Does not mention that on the submissions criteria, so I should be good.

You are correct, I found out later that it wasn't mentioned.
Also, I wasted 2 hours messing around with my 3950x because the rules are hard to understand sometimes. Turns out you can only sub one 16 core result, and yours beats mine.

Agreed. One of my entries still shows as me "disabling ranking" which I definitely did not do. Was my 5900X one in the DDR4 comp I think.

I think that's the same thing @Bastiaan_NL was talking about earlier.  Apparently we can only have one 6 core, one 8 core, one 12 core, and one 16 core run for the whole team.  So if somebody on the team ran a better score than you with the same amount of cores, your score is out.

I do believe they still want a certain amount of participation regardless though.  So even if its a "disabled" run, its still showing participation.  I think anyway.  I'm still trying to learn the rules myself too.

Question: Do I need to add system pictures to my submissions to receive points?

Answer: No. All your submissions will receive points and contribute to the team, even if you do not have additional pictures attached. Setup pictures were mandatory for the Enthusiast league to verify the used cooling method. However since these are easy to fake, the setup picture had no added value. Keep in mind that for specific competitions a setup picture might be required.

Never said they were a requirement. Though the most recent competitons they have been and its good practice to do so.

"In general, there are only ever 2 screenshots". Some I upload a running rig, some I dont, but an image file and shot of rig are the only 2 possible photos anyone should be uploading.

You are correct in that the rules for the comp this year do not specifically say a system pic is needed BUT as a rule of thumb it's a good idea to have one in any comp you participate in.

Normally this is a rule for comps - Not for subs in general so unless you want to provide a pic for a regular (Non-Comp) sub, you don't have to.

As for subs counting/not counting, it can vary based on how the comp is layed out but in general if you post a score with a 12 core chip, then a fellow team member beats yours with a better 12 core score, yours is automatically dropped from the comp.
The better score between yours and one that beat your 12 core score then counts for the team until it's beaten by yet another 12 core score from the team or the comp ends.

If for some reason the one that beats yours is later ruled illegal for some reason and gets removed, yours is added back into que for the team's points total as long as it's a "Legal" sub itself.

The rules at times are janky but they are what they are and we all have to deal with it.

I ran mine too but score was in between your scores so it never showed up. Or I screwed up posting it which is also possible 😂

Ah, right you have a 5900X too. Probably just takes whichever score is higher.

lol, I've come out of many closets in many different places over the years, but outside of my relatively recent projects, had to give up hoarding when i became a wandering monk in the lands that time forgot.

(if it can't fit in a shopping cart, i can't take it with me 😘   )

but I do have one of the following that I could try before time runs out or i move on to a higher plane or the current contest ends:

what sayeth you?

YAAAAS! Run her. Run her hard.

So I started taking a look at the system I'm about to tear apart because its cpu block appears to be full of poop (getting low flow through it), but I did run a CPU Profile on it even though ***everything*** is pretty much set to stock (see the linked 3DMark Results). To speed things up a bit I'm going to stick a Noctua air cooler on the CPU and swap in the 2080ti (also air cooled). Note: I'm an old boomer noob to this stuff so be gentle with me (it's my first time) and wear gummi Handschuhe

Anyway, given the linked results, I could probably squeeze a lot more out of this setup if it's set up properly.

Premium Platinum - Lifetime

To hopefully boost the participation I will sponsor 2 prizes: a €50 prize where every submission which counts per the HWBOT rules and is in the final listing on their website gives you 1 entry and a random €25 prize for members who participate (unique winners).
Team captains and me are excluded.

Prizes will be drawn when the competition is finished.
